Since I was not able to have children i really could not answer the one question but instead i wrote a prayer "dear heavenly father thank you for creating me in your image. Thank you for the things that are unique to me, because these are the things that make me beautiful, and lord as i go through my day and self doubt creeps in help me to remember that i am your creation, beautifully, wonderfully and fearfully made Amen

One of your videos popped up and you were talking about scripture journaling. I had fallen and broke my arm just below the shoulder. It was so bad that most every muscle was injured. I couldn’t write at all. But your message gave me something to look forward to. When you talked about doing the Bible study I was still struggling with my writing. I bought the book anyway and thought I would do what I could and at least follow along. This past weekend, over a 24 hour period, my arm improved significantly!!! So much that now I can write and color. I really believe God touched me so I can do this study with you. You have really been a blessing to me in these months of my healing and recovery.

I got my book yesterday. I set myself up at my desk with soft jazz playing in the background as the sun started to get lower in the sky, a favorite time of day. I was totally immersed in coloring when much to my surprise i started crying. The message i received was " I am the light". I had been trying to color a sunburst! Of course i looked up the verse so i could write it out. It was a beautiful reminder as i go through some health challenges. I don't have children, but i do have a niece and nephew! There is much of me in my niece, it gives me great joy to see it, as she develops into a beautiful compassionate young lady. Day one definitely gave me a lot to think about as well as good insights. On to day two. Thanks for this!

I have a very hard time remembering that our Father does love me because of all the mistakes I've made and still make, I'm very impatient, I get angry, I want to vent, it's a constant struggle. I am enjoying this study so far, we do need to remember that God loves us very much, and we need to be kind to ourselves. To your point on how busy we all are, I think God knew our nature. “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” This is not a helpful suggestion, but what he commands us to do. He gave us this time each week to rest in him. 10 simple commandments yet that one so overlooked.

Little did I know when I ordered this Bible study book what was going to occur in my life. Having lost my husband two years ago I thought that would be the end of loss but then I received more news that the pain I am experiencing is more permanent. And within minutes of Sherry talking the tears just flowed. Knowing that God loves me the way I am, that he created me and not a bad accident as my parents used to say. Knowing that God is the best parent who wants the best for his children to the point of sacrificing his only son for me and all of us. Hallelujah, what a Saviour. On page 10 in the left hand, empty column, I drew (crudely) a pair of knitting needles with some red knitting and a woman hanging off the needles wearing a red dress! I'm glad you clarified what it means to say, "I am enough." I am enough for God to use. It reminds me of the quote that God doesn't require us to be successful, he wants us to be faithful to do what He asks us to do. We can do that even when we feel inadequate. I just got the book on Monday and did day one last night. The ask Jesus part was difficult, but God so wants us to see ourselves the way he sees us. He is so pleased with his handiwork and I feel like it grieves him when we talk badly about ourselves just way we feel badly when our children talk badly about themselves. This going to be a wonderful Bible study, and I did the first study today, and the way I answered the one question about how to I think look and act like Christ, will all I could put down was I want my actions, thoughts, and. Words to be more like Christ. I can’t claim to be prefect, it’s only by leaning on the Lord that I can live a life that pleases Him. Also this study goes along with another online Bible study that I am doing out of Leesburg Virginia, it’s done over zoom, and we are going through Colossians. We start out by meeting live on KZbin where there is music and teaching from the word. Then we break into small groups rather in person or online. I am not from Virginia. In our small group they have talked about that very thing I am enough one Lady will question rather she is enough but then she will remind herself that she is enough in the Lord. The verses that stood out to me in the first chapter of Colossians was in 1: 9-10 about asking for wisdom for God’s will, also that we walk worthy of the Lord, that means to me that we live a life pleasing to the Lord, and do His will His way.

Ive been overweight most of my life and like most people ive tried to take off the weight. Ive even lost alot of weight and then for what ever reason pur it back on, but what i had a hard time with was, that God didnt want me to be overweight, he didn't make people overweight. BUT IF YOUR OVERWEIGHT HE LOVES YOU!!!!

Lots of people struggle with their weight...or with some other physical challenge. I've had my own battles with this. But the Scriptures tell us that while man focuses on the outside of a person, the Lord focuses on the heart. (1 Samuel 16: 7) I think our goal should be to take care of ourselves the best we can, in all areas of life. This means physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally. Some will struggle in one or two areas more than another. But the Lord understands what we are facing. And he is always here for us, with a heart full of love.♥

The reason I wanted this one is I am working on putting together a new/ baby Christian mom’s group. Most younger people in the states don’t know anything about the Bible. This study is user friendly and ( I hope) will make young busy moms feel encouraged. I want them to feel comfortable and invited and encouraged about Gods love for them. You can dig deeper on your own baby reading the whole chapter. I also think “coloring” is such a great destressor ( made up word). Studies show how good coloring is for you. 💙💜💚🙏

Hi Maria! In the Ask Jesus section, I do a lot of asking and then sitting still and letting my mind focus on any thoughts the Lord brings into my mind. It can be a challenge to clear my mind somedays. I am recognizing now that I haven't been taking enough time in my regular Bible readings to just be still and let the Lord show me things when I am studying. I tend to keep moving to what's next.

I was hoping you would choose another study but God showed me how much I needed this one. I am to busy. I stopped doing so many things and asked God to show me what he wanted me to do. I then saw you choose this book and just finished watching Day 1 and yes this is exactly what I need. I have been convicted of putting other people before God. Not intentionally but got caught up in it and I need to know who I am in Christ first. I just ordered the book, will play catch up but God is so faithful when we seek Him first. This is so encouraging and comforting. I do not have a book and am catching up on the videos, so my comments are late, but here they are... I believe we are like our Father God when we live out his attributes. When we are forgiving, when we are merciful, when we love where no love is warranted, when we are creative, when we rest... Etc. For a long time I was taught that saying “I am enough” was a big no-no. That that was prideful and not good. Thankfully the Lord brought me out of that teaching. I really enjoyed this video. I love your insight and your sharing. I love the NLT! Some point out that it was written for a fourth grade level, and I say praise God for that! Because that’s how I need to be spoken to, to learn! I don't always have the best self-image, but isn't it amazing to 'see' ourselves through God's eyes and know that He created us and we bring Him joy? My cousin sent me a picture of myself when I was a little girl on a swing looking rather serious. When I sent it to my daughter she sent me a picture back of my granddaughter with exactly the same look on her face. Oh what sweetness that was to my soul! The grandchild that I never thought I would have and she does things like me.

Thank you for this video. You both are so fun. I loke all the things you shared. Growing up we moved a lot because of Dads work,but mom always found us a nice church. When ioved out on my own, my manager and his wife invited me to their church and i loved it! Then i moved farther and tried vhurches of my coworkers but never felt like they were a good fit. One day i was getting my hair cut and talking to the gal cutting my hair that i was looking for a church and in the next chair the pastor of a church in that community was getting his hair cut and invited me to his church. I went and i loved it. Ive been there 23 years. Im so grateful. I will be praying God leads you to just the right church. Love you. Have a restful night. 🙂❤️

I heard a Christian lady talking about there being a part of our DNA that scientists don't understand its purpose. She believes that is a part of God to be found in us. I like to believe this too, as we are God's creation. I also believe He hasn't finished creating me fully yet, I am still a work in process. Praise God! 🙏❤

I'm so excited to do this study. The question of you gave children that look, sound, or act like you, how does that make you feel? I love how you pointed out that we are made in God's image. This makes me want to grow deeper in my faith to be more like Him. I want to have people see Jesus' image in me. ❤ By the way, one of my special things I've been enjoying is anything caramel. The last two years it seems like I can't get enough caramel. So I'll put that down in my journal. 😁

I use King James version Bible in church and at home. I have been leaning a little bit on the ESV because I like how clear it is.

Hi Zelda! I grew up with the KJV and it's a steadfast, traditional translation. But I truly fell in love with God's Word when I read the NLT. The language was much more meaningful to me. The ESV is an excellent translation too. In my studies, I make it a habit to read several translations and it broadens my understanding. Just this week, for example, I was reading a verse in the NLT and decided to look it up in the New King James. I actually liked the New King James better because, as you say, the meaning felt clear. Thanks for sharing.

I love this book, we are made in Gods image a Holy God that no one can look at Moses had to turn his face and take off his shoes to walk on the ground where God was he is so Holy, and he created us Male and female in his image. It seems when God puts something on our hearts he wants us to do there is always negativity from people that just pulls you down. Keep doing what God wants you to do 😊.I'm excited about this study. This is the first time I've seen a coloring Bible study I think it's awesome. It is hard to say something good about yourself we are our own worse critics we don't see ourselves as pretty or good at something. I think this study will help loosen the rusty bolts and screws and teach us that we need to let loose of those things and take some time for ourselves and enjoy me time. Sherry thank you for all of these wonderful videos and Facebook posts you do they are an inspiration. I am a country girl and all the antiques and old barns and houses takes me back to some good ole times ❤🦋

I really thought this was going to be a very simple Bible study but I have been very surprised to find that the questions really have me reflecting profoundly on the Scripture! I am loving the Ask Jesus section. It is so wonderful to meditate and listen for His voice to speak to me.
