Thinking big really does allow me to get out of the constricted headspace I usually find myself in when I'm going through anxiety or depression. It does allow me to return to cognitive flexibility.

Thank you, David! I did some bigger thinking and dreaming bigger at end of last year, after not for a long time, (was unspiritual) and I found it really helpful.

Desire is important and is deeply spiritual. Love this.

Love this. Don't be afraid to dream big, beyond what others may think you're capable of. Michael Jordan baby steps. One practice shot and one layup at a time.

Very nice i think it might work but i get anxiety even thinking it and worse is that i have such a hard time Journaling or scheduling and vision boards are like deluding myself in s negative way... yet i know you are into something good

Very normal reaction. You want this. It is the false self that feels anxious, not you! I have found that our true identity is always enthusiastic and at peace. What we want is to 'relax' into health and abundance.

@@drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy this false self concept is something I've worked on a lot and I'm also discovering a lot about. Mostly the traits of denial and so on. But in this scenario I'm curious to know how to disengage it, if that's the case.

Excellent !! David what would be top books & your observations on -when facing challenges in workplace or job search in uncertainty how to thrive under pressure with some effective model of thinking that's progressive even in high stress situations so that i come out as a winner ?
@drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy11 ай бұрын
Not sure if this answers your question, but in situations like this I have found that non-violent communication is incredibly effective and results in you winning and also those around you. Win/win is what ultimately makes us feel most alive. Check out an author called Marshall Rosenberg.

@@drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy Yes it answers somewhat but my main issue was - which kind of thinking pattern leads to massive success without being stuck in inaction or fear of failure or outcome ? How to avoid failure when stakes are high.. how does successful people face uncertainty with strategy or habits which counters failure..
