Studio One 5 is still super buggy no mater the tools Presonus gives us to see what's going on. Check the loading time and stability with all the same plugins in Reaper the difference is HUGE.

It was taking 1-2 each time to save songs. unchecking the "Track / Channel names follow active layer" in Preferences>advanced tab>editing tab made saves only take 1 second!

You the man, Gregor. This feature just saved my ass by allowing me to pinpoint a faulty Amplitube instance that was breaking every 350 track session on saving with hundreds of plugins. Three cheers for German thoroughness! Does PT even have the same quality of diagnostics as S1 now?

I’m excited to see this video. I’m hoping for a tip on why the program takes so long to load after one of the latest updates. It used to be 10-15 seconds now it’s literally 2-5 mins. The first time I open it on a day it’s 5 mins then if I open it multiple times on a day it’s more like 2 mins but still pretty slow.

Recently I've been having trouble with slow saving times, both on medium and large projects. Not only that, but also slow UI response, and taking more time than usual to load the mixer window. Luckly, I came across the solution that solved 100% of the isues and made S1 Run faster. It was simply a matter of updating my motherboard BIOS/firmware to the most recent. ( I run a Windows PC with Ryzen 3900x and a Asus x570 motherboard, both from 2020)

Super timely! Our latest album sessions using several instances of Line 6 Helix and Slate Digital are sometimes loading snappily and other times take literally minutes. With a 12c/24t AMD processor and 32gb of RAM, I wouldn't expect it, so learning about these diagnostics is super useful! Thanks Gregor!

Windows needs program that starts with the computer related to plugins, why, because when we start Cubase than start Studio One it starts in 24 seconds with over a thousand plugins. So some kind of manager to a dedicated DAW computer would need a plugin manager to load faster. Or develope new unheard of sleep mode where computer app is put into a steep mode but is not running at all and is like a normal bookmarker file to load. tone of details are missing but there you go.

This safety option screen is really frustrating, it auto opens every time the DAW crashes (which is often, studio one has gotten very unstable in the latest builds) and is VERY annoying. PLEASE allow the safety options screen to be turned OFF by default after a crash, it doesn't help. I am getting PTSD from seeing this box pop up so often.

When are we going to get the update on the studio live 32 so we can edit with the SD card I don't know why but we cannot erase and everytime I start recording it starts from a weird spot every time not from zero we need to update so we can actually see the tracks that were recording on I even have that on my Tascam recorder 24-track SD please give us a good update because when my computer's down like recently I just had a situation and I wasn't able to record I tried to do the SD recording I'm just going to be honest it sucked I had to pull out my Tascam at that time I realized the studiolive 32 is just an controller not cool because I was bragging on this that I can do SD recording that's why I bought it please look out for us

Still have probs with Sampletank 4 crashing S1 but yet to find an answer to it. S1 is great otherwise. My biggest gripe is the loop function and how clicking anywhere resets the loop. Can you bring in a feature to lock the loop region as it is very annoying!

Hey. I purchased a copy of Studio One Artist recently and I have a small issue. My main daw is Fl Studio (for production purposes) and I need it something different for edit purposes so I chose Studio One. I configured it according to what I see you Gregor doing (how to set-up). But when I play something back everything is playing at slow motion speed. How can I fix that?

Gregor, I have the problem that saving takes very long. 20-60 seconds.Also if a made only a few edits after the last saving. I dont know what to do. Its impossible to works with the session, Any Idea?

I've got a template with a 1000 tracks. Although they are all disabled by default, loading and saving takes a long time. Especially with each auto save the saving process takes more than 5 minutes. Is there anything I can do about that?

I have a specific saving time problem. It started an update or 2 ago. If I have a video open in the video player and save while it's playing, it takes forrrrever. If I remember to close the video player b4 saving then it's fine. This is frustrating when I'm trying to create and I forget to close it and hit save while I'm trying to make my next move. Such an irritating buzz kill. I shouldn't have to constantly close the player before saving. How is this happening? It's weird AF and it never used to happen.

I'm still having crazy long save times. When I first open the project all is well. within 5 minutes lag begins. when i save to close it takes a few minutes to save and often times freezes before saved. My CPU usage is only at %40 Any other suggestions?

Having trouble finding a solution or reference, but auto save shows Saving Device: and re-scans EVERYTHING!!! 😤 What the peanut? It rescans and saves everything, even if nothing changed, except maybe one channels audio slightly edited or volume adjusted. It randomly does it, and that sucks because it takes like 2 minutes(ish)!!!!! Just clocked it saving right now and it’s OVER TWO MINUTES!!!! Don’t have that much in this session. It completely obliterates my inspiration and ability locking those perfect takes when you’re in the zone. The magic is gone!

Ample Sound instruments loads 11 times (!) faster in Cubase 13 then StudioOne 6.5.2. Some Kontakt libs 2-3 times faster. Also, plugin GUIs are loading faster in Cubase. Fix these issues are people will begin to leave. Or was StudioOne 6.6 only a beginning? Don't become the new AVID...

Hi, I'm a S1 pro user since the version 2, so i think i'm pretty experienced. For a few months now i'm experiencing saving times taking too long. I press save, the saving window takes half a second to disapear, like it should, then studio one freezes all graphics and after 30sec to 2 minutes (depending on the session) it gets back to normal. Meanwhile it's saving, even though i can't do nothing (using keyboard/mouse to stop/start for example), if i presse save while playingback, the sound keeps going on, monitoring, etc, and when it cames back it's all normal and i can stop the playback. If i press stop while it's saving, it will stop by itself when unfreezes. I choosed the profile document saving and it's funny because i press save, the profile window cames up saying it took 0.5sec to save, everything is fine, i can see the meters moving, the performance meters, etc, so, no freeze, and the second o press OK on that window, BAM, freeze for 1minute. Things i tried, reinstall s1, disable second and main graphics card (i have those laptops with dual graphics) disable wifi, i even force quit on task manager so it came up with the secure mode window so i disable everything (vst, ara, etc) and still same saving time. Then i created a new user account and there i could save normaly with half a second, no freeze, but i need it working on my main account anyway. i was experiencing this before i upgrade s1 5 to the latest update but after the last patch i feel it got worse.

@@eisviech9984 yes, it's worse in the more cpu intensive one but other ones I've really only layed down about 13 tracks on, there are only a few stock EQs on the drums and a fat channel on like 2 busses and it does it. The mouse pointer is still moving around the screen but everything is frozen and then a loading bar just like when you open your session comes up reloading various plug ins etc. I actually haven't even bothered mixing my cpu intensive one that's nearly complete because it's so discouraging.

@@eisviech9984 no, I don't use computer's for anything but music, and when I told the sellers of my computer they not only replaced it they gave me one with double the RAM, it has a corei7,ssd, 32g of ram, I get close to zero latency, it seems awesome aside from this issue.
