You are pretty bad at the game. ...but you cannot be blamed for that. I only figured out half of the tricks or even just the basic gameplay elements after hours and hours of trial and error. If the game actually explained these things to you (or if they felt natural in the first place) it would be a much better game. I personally love Sonic and the Black Knight, but I agree with your score. For someone who doesn't wanna invest that much time into getting good at a clunky game like this (read: "someone who's not crazy like me"), it's really not designed well.

The thing that irks me about the "Storybook Series" is that the previous game didn't have that slapped-on label that Black Knight got. It's like Sonic Team did that in hopes that on-lookers would excuse Sonic in a themed universe that was clearly not meant for him. I'm glad that interest was dropped in continuing the Storybook series. It's like Sonic Team knew they had a title that stuck out like a sore thumb (Sonic and the Secret Rings), then they create another title with the same engine just to fix the controls and slap that Storybook Series label onto the game just as a lazy and rushed way to make it appear that Sonic and the Secret Rings was related (Sonic and the Black Knight), and then shake it like a bad case of fleas. It makes the developers look like they have very little faith in it. It leaves a bad impression. I'm glad Sonic Team came to their senses when they did to deliver us Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (although short and some fans didn't like it), Sonic Colors, and Sonic Generations. Breath of fresh air after some really terrible games that seemed to have no end in sight that all stemmed from Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

unleashed black knight was a pretty good rerun, I admit, I raged with Halo 4 going QTE, I even praised the death of QTE in Halo 5, sure, n detective Pikachu has QTEs but I believe it was a design choice not a fad following like MOST AAA games, even Until Dawn I rage over, too much like heavy rain.

I got a question, do you think it's stupid that Sega try's to make sonic edgy by making the story line darker and more mature or are you O.K with it. Personally I'm O.K with games that used to be childish turned darker and more mature if there done well, for example mega man and the jake series did the darker mature story line transition well in my opinion, with mega man x zero and Jak 2 and 3. Sonic though is a good example of a game that didn't need to try to be cool by appealing to a older audience.

Joey Do Well that's what Sonic Colors, Generations, and Lost World were achieving, being more lighthearted and cartoony, Sonic never needed to be darker or more edgy like the route SA2, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06 (to a degree) tried to go, those games were trying to appeal to the Sonic fans who were kids when the series came out and then grew older to teenagers to adults. But Sega never needed to do so, because teenagers and adults love movies like Toy Story and Monsters Inc or shows like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Just because the people who played Sonic games as a kid are adults that doesn't mean that they want the series they played as kids to grow up, just look at Mario games, they've always been lighthearted and cartoony, kids and adult love them. Sega is trying too hard, it may be the remnants of the "cool" image they established for themselves in the 90s, but when they loosen up and just focus on making a fun game, it works.

I think it's SEGA's fault for screwing up the fanbase by trying something completely new with Heroes and Lost World. Game before it were doing just fine but some dimwits didn't like it and SEGA thought their opinions actually mattered. I liked heroes and have only played the demo of lost world and I don't think trying new things is the problem I think its a combination the finicky fan base and sega not implementing the new ideas as well as they could, look at kirby no one cares if kirby tries new things like canvas curse or epic yarn but its done well sega's trying new things is fine if they would do the ideas more competently, thats how I see it anyway.

About the length of a video game ***** First I would like to point out that it is The Order 1886, you said 1866. Second, people complain about that because a lot of that time is spent just walking around doing nothing and watching lengthy cutscenes. Hell, some of the chapters are just glorified cutscenes. If the game had more involvement in gameplay, then people wouldn't complain as much. I would like to point out that I am a recent fan of the Mega Man and Mega Man X games(except for X7. That game can burn to the ground for all I care), and those games can be beaten in under an hour. However, I find those games to be much more enjoyable than The Order 1886 because you are constantly involved with the gameplay and not bored out of your mind with over lengthy cutscenes. This also applies to Sonic and The Black Knight, because while the game is definitely shorter than The Order 1886, most of the time spent in the game is actually playing the game, with the gameplay being more fun than The Order 1886(ok I'm just going to refer to this as 1886). If 1886 had more gameplay time, then people wouldn't complain about the 5-6 hour run time as much as they are now.

The reason people are complaining about The Order length is because of the reasons you've stated. It's short and it sucks. And that's why people shouldn't play it, and if a lot of people do, it'll probably lead to companies cutting corners to meet deadlines and then we'll get half-assed products because people settle for crappy games just because those games are made by multi-million dollar companies who "can't do no wrong".

Es un juego acerca del buen posicionamiento y atacar en el momento justo. No lo he vuelto a jugar desde hace MUCHOOOO tiempo, pero recuerdo lo mucho que me entretuvo y en especial las batallas contra los jefes. Esa batalla final con el tema de fondo, es magnifica. Es raro porque es un juego con buenas intenciones pero aun algo mediocre y que al comienzo fastidia pero que poco a poco mejora y entretiene y te hallas queriendo dominar el gameplay y pasar los mapas en perfect. El juego tiene esa seccion de videos de como se pasan los mapas correctamente y al intentar copiarlos es que notas la fluidez del juego y lo disfrutas. OJO, y no todas las faces del juego tienen una solo solucion, la que te muestran los videos, tiene varias. Y ni si quiera soy fan de sonic, jaja. El que lo quiera probar, le garantizo que se puede disfrutar.

I could imagine a game with bad controls still redeeming itself through other positives (many horror games, for instance), but in a game so focused on action? Come on, now. Let's not forget that the mission system, just like with Secret Rings, is a lazy way to pad out the game's already pitiful length. So much of the game just does not work very well at all. I think this was a bare-minimum effort by Sonic Team/Sega with the intention behind it being "kids are stupid, so let's not even try with this one."
