Heres the actual story. Sonic is chilling on a hammock, until he hears "Boom" the emeralds disappear, he sees EggMan who had done it. EggMan explains how he made the Silver Castle, and knuckles comes in so then Sonic and Knuckles team up to stop him and his castle.

Too bad this video wasn't released April 1st. Most of the Game Gear games weren't developed by Sonic Team, but by aspect. Most of those games turned out fine, but not this one. Most of the problems are caused by making Sonic take up so much of the screen. This is presumably to show off how "impressive" the pre-rendered graphics were, but this creates most of the problems the game has because Sonic doesn't run fast because you have so much less time to see what is ahead of you. The screen crunch of Game Gear Sonic 2 is nothing compared to this. I bet this one was more rushed than the others.

The only unironically good thing I can say about Sonic Blast is that the Silver Castle theme slaps hard. A true diamond in the rough. Though I didn't realize how good the melody was until I listened to remixes of it. Seriously, go listen to the original song, Bouncy Glow's faithful remix and Sonic Fan 27's remix. You won't regret it.

Alright jokes aside The idea of the game is really good, i mean it's a gamegear title and it's pushing it to its limits, tbh if you didn't focus on EVERY BYTE OF THE GAME and actually play it for fun, you'll like it because in the end, the idea was to be the first 3d game on an 8bit handheld system, and technically it worked, it's just not the best for the hardware.

It’s amazing how the game itself is great. [I can’t really joke here and I don’t want to joke here. Sonic Blast was the absolute biggest garbage I’ve ever played. Even Aspect Co. should’ve knew what they were doing because they made games that are 50 times superior than this. You thought Sonic 06 or Rise of Lyric were the worst of them all, (I actually played and enjoyed those two games.) you haven’t seen this. I don’t even understand why Nintendo put this up on their E’shop. It’s like someone forgot to play it and thought that “Oh look. Another Sonic game. Better place it in.” And then just like that, my money was wasted because I expected this to be a version of Traveler’s Tale’s Sonic 3D Blast but boy was I wrong and should’ve made sure of the title because I just got scammed so badly.
