Jun-ichi Kanemaru has still got it... For those who don't know who he is it's Sonic's Japanese Voice Actor who been voicing Sonic since the Japanese Dreamcast release of Sonic Adventure 1 and imo, he does a great job still till this day. I also think he is the longest lasting voice actor in the entire Sonic Franchise which is awesome to think about.

Junichi Kanemaru is THE Sonic I know and love! His voice sounds young as always and is full of cuteness! I'm glad he keeps on voicing Sonic for more than 20 years! I'm very impressed! This is why I love his voice so much! 💙🥰

I like how the English version doesn’t grunt after each Perfect Parry. The grunting kinda undermines how effortlessly Super Sonic 2 deflects the attacks. But I like how the Japanese version screams at 16:51 when he goes full Super Sonic Cyber

I love how the transformation into cyber super Sonic takes a audible TOLL on Sonics body. You can hear how genuinely PAINFUL it is for him, akin to when Goku uses the kaio ken at a level beyond his bodies limit, first with x4, then x20. Pushing himself to the limit and even further beyond and it HURTS. It's to the point he legit is *convulsing* due to the strain. He can just BARELY keep himself together, he needed to finish the job FAST. I love that type of thing. When there's a actual risk to the power you have.

This is why I love the Japanese voice acting more than English! Roger’s voice sounds pretty good but Junichi Kanemaru has nailed it as always for more than 20 years! Kanemaru’s scream sounds very terrifying and painful. It felt so real!

Man, those screams remind a lot the Darkspine Sonic Style, in english and spanish feels Dragon ball like, like he's just giving full power... here feels like the Darkspine scene, getting more power, but painfully.

The only time English Sonic gets close to this level of screaming was in Secret Rings when he becomes Darkspine Sonic. Too bad Jason Griffith isn't planning on returning anytime soon.

​@@skrellb9659tbh I have to disagree. Don't get me wrong Ryan and Jason are great sonic voices but I don't think they would have nailed the scream like juinichi or Roger. Juinichi and Roger offer two different perceptive to the cyber corruption form. Juinichi scream feels more like a screech of pain showing how much of toll the corruption and super sonic is taking on sonic. Whilst Roger's scream is like a roar showing the tremendous strength that the temporary form provides. Both screams give sonic soo much emotion that we've never heard before in any game. As for Ryan and Jason. We'll Ryan isn't able to do is sonic impression or at least he lost the ability to maintain the voice consistently so I doubt his scream would have worked. As for Jason while he still can do his sonic voice I doubt it'd have the same intensity as Roger or juinichi.

There's just something about raw screaming in protagonists that I greatly enjoy. Weird kind of enjoyment, but damn I don't feel ashamed about it, it's peak. For fans of such screaming, I recommend the Xenoblade series ! In both English and Japanese, the VAs go hard as hell ( well, XC2 is a mixed bag in English, but that's because the voicework had to be extremely rushed, it's unfortunate, but it's not too distracting most of the time, so I still enjoy XC2's dub a whole lot ! )

I guess the reason The End doesn't have many dialogues in update 3 is probably because they couldn't come to an agreement with the Japanese voice actors. If you compare it's dialogues with this (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mn2qp2t5nbegoJY) you'll notice that none of the Japanese dialogues are new.

I don't understand Sega... At first they were thinking of adding Hyper Sonic but they backed out because they didn't want to have many transformations, but they end up giving him a Super Sonic 2... Will this be permanent? I think it would have been nice to have brought Hyper Sonic after so long... Amy and Tails' gameplay could have been looking for the emeralds, while Knuckles said that he felt the master emerald and was going to look for it

Super Sonic 2 is just super sonic power up after controlling the cybercorruption, It won't return. Maybe Hyper Sonic will return in other game, but in this game wasn't possible.

The Japanese dub script is addmittedly more unpolished than the English script, some lines do raise eyebrows at times, but the voice direction has so much more charm to it, and yes the script is still rough as heck but whenever the characters talk they feel a lot more in line and snarky like their actual selves, so I personally will probably stick to JP scripts in Sonic from now on...lol.
