I'm a huge fan of Sonic and its soundtracks, so I'm reviewing each song from the game with a rating from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. 1. Title Screen - 4/5 2. Mushroom Hill Zone Act 1 - 5/5 Catchy and enjoyable! 3. Mini Boss - 3/5 4. Mushroom Hill Zone Act 2 - 5/5 5. Flying Battery Zone Act 1 - 3/5 I appreciate the attempt to keep the original tone, but it felt slightly off. Not bad, just not amazing. 6. Flying Battery Zone Act 2 - 3/5 7. Sandopolis Zone Act 1 - 4/5 Definitely an improvement over the original, though not perfect. Still enjoyable overall. 8. Sandopolis Zone Act 2 - 3/5 I see what you were going for, but it didn’t quite land for me. 9. Lava Reef Zone Act 1 - 2/5 Hard to top the original masterpiece. I liked the slower tempo in parts, but it didn’t fully capture the essence of the original. 10. Lava Reef Zone Act 2 - 2/5 It was going well at 20:48, but the section after 21:32 missed the mark. 11. Hidden Palace Zone - 5/5 Great track, felt a bit like a Donkey Kong vibe, which I enjoyed! Not typical Sonic, but I’m into it. 12. Knuckles' Theme - 4/5 True to the original but with a nice twist. I liked it. 13. Sky Sanctuary Zone Act 1 - 4/5 A fresh take, and it works. 14. Death Egg Zone Act 1 - 4/5 Not bad at all; it even surpasses the original in some ways. 15. Death Egg Act 2 - 5/5 I’m usually not a fan of the originals, but this one’s fantastic. Perfect tempo and climax for the end-game vibe. 16. Major Boss - 3/5 Decent track, though not exceptional. 17. Death Egg Robot - 4/5 Great beat for a boss battle; it captures the epic feel. 18. The ...what is stuck? - 5/5 Nice beat to finish things off. 19. Life Will Go On - 5/5 A very chill ending beat, and I love it!

The whole album is great, but I'm mad in love with the first act of Mushroom Hill. Insanely funky, my favorite theme in the album by far. Major boss is also REALLY good, the Forces Egg Dragoon theme has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

forgot to mention the beautiful use of leitmotifs in this album, like i dont think too many people noticed that the bass line of flying battery and mushroom hill were the same as some light for shadowing for the flying battery stage, and tiny details like that really sell this album to me

The alternate naming for all the songs, or "Here's what I think of while listening to this peak" 0:00 Good ending type of beat, super cool, also sounds like an anime opening 0:18 A chill opening of the beach... Sonic is eating his chili dog, but then he's getting interrupted by Eggman's badniks, and here the adventure begins... 2:51 Sonic sees Robotnik, while he and his army of robots are stealing animals. He notices Sonic coming his way, and the battle starts... 4:07 Eggman fleed... Sonic is left alone at an open field... It's getting darker, and a beautiful evening opens up... 8:05 Sonic got into the Eggman's one of the bases, and he starts destroying robots. Tails is catching up on him, and together they are gonna find Robotnik here. 10:25 The adventure continues in the Flying Battery. Eggman sees the duo, and tries to destroy them, but we all know that Sonic's plot armour is too strong. Anyway, Eggman is fleeing from the scene, and our two heroes are catching up. 12:28 A tomb. A humongous tomb opens up in our view. It is pretty far away, and our duo is getting to it through all the sand and badniks. The great pyramids can be seen all the way from here. It seems like the desert never ends, but soon enough they get to the end, and see a huge entrance in front of them. 15:09 Sonic and Tails are inside of the pyramid, and see... _Mickey Mouse?????_ Yeah, idk about that, but this beat is so close to the style of Mickey Mania, I'm sorry. 16:24 Our duo sees a disabled volcano, and enter it. There are many badniks that mine the stones inside of it. Robotnik can be seen in the way, and he tries to stop our Sonic Heroes (ahaha, funny joke), but fails once again. It isn't the end, but it is pretty close... 19:07 The inside of the volcano is crumbling. It is dangerous to stay here, and Tails alarms Sonic about that. There is a beautiful view of all the stones inside, and it's shining so much, that Sonic just can't stay here any longer. (I'm out of ideas, help) Before they leave, they see an amazing wall (wow, wall) that is made all out of diamonds. (cool, diamonds) 22:01 Our duo finds a hidden palace inside of the volcano. They also see Knuckles, that tries to stop them, but our heroes tell him about Eggman's dangerous plan. They team up, and the Sonic Team is fully complete. (another joke hehehe) 26:06 And it's Knuckles! With his dangerous and full of spikes... Knuckles. Yeah, I'm out of jokes, and what? 28:35 It's a sky base! A final stretch to Robotnik's Death Egg. Our heroes defeat all the badniks and fight their way to Eggman's creation: Mecha Sonic Mk. II 30:24 This is it. Eggman's base in space. A great way to end this all. But our heroes (without Knuckles, he got electrocuted 😢) know, that if they will rest, Robotnik might attack them out of nowhere, and so they continue on, to beat him in the final fight. Once, and for all. 33:38 As Sonic and Tails go through a hall, the gravitational pull is changing... They're now upside down! It's the final stretch before they will finally beat Eggman and his evil plans. (Also this song kinda has Mettaton vibes, idk lol) 37:42 Finally, they got him cornered! Our heroes can finally defeat the giant walking, talking egg! But Eggman actually has some aces in his sleeve... (I forgot the saying 😭😭) 39:30 Robotnik in his giant mech attacks our duo! They have almost fallen, but there is still hope, and with hope Sonic dives into the robot's Master Emerald! 42:31 That's it. There's nothing left after this. It's either Sonic or Eggman. Sonic transforms into Hyper Sonic with all the collected emeralds. The final battle. Has. *Begun* _also Miku appears out of nowhere and defeats Eggman_ 47:18 Sonic won (well, Miku won) the battle. He has saved all the creatures, and now they can live on peacefully... A beautiful sunset is seen in the background, and our heroes are flying down to Angel's Island. Everyone is now safe, and other animals applause our heroes... (Knuckles too, although he did almost nothing) *_The End_* 52:56 *I SWEAR, I'M TRYING TO BE ORIGINAL!!!!!1!!11* 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Jokes aside, i think this one got a circus feeling to it. Idk what else to say. 54:20 You can see a race happening, and this song is heard at the end of it. Sonic is first, Tails got second, Knuckles got third, and Eggman lost like always. 55:33 This is the start of the race. A hype up for all the racers. Eggman is cocky, and tells everyone that he will be the winner. Sonic - "Shut up, Eggman!" (Sonic OVA fans anywhere????) 56:36 Guys, we all know, that this is just a lap ending from Virtua Racing. But anyways, this one is amazing. Idk, Sonic is invincible ig 56:57 Yippie, act end! Pretty cool song, idk 57:35 GET LIIIIFFFEEEEE!!!! 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥 57:42 GAME (game) OVER!! (over) So yeah, that's it! i chose to drop the first version of invincibility because it honestly was too hyper for my tastes. was horribly mixed as well i went more lowkey referencing virtua racing deluxe since a lot of sonic rom hacks use that ost along with other smps osts for music porting, the title screen leitmotif sprinkled in there more subtly too
