Unfortunately, from what I've heard, they abandoned the original Sonic design well before they were done with it, so if we were to watch the movie with the original sonic design, there would have to be placeholders in certain scenes.

The final movie actually uses two models for baby sonic. Look at the scene when he's looking at the flower and then after longclaw crashes and he says "I don't wanna go without you". The nose is the most noticeable difference

That deleted baby sonic picture, That was a deleted scene, this scene was supposed to be for Sonics mom saving baby sonic, and in the the deleted scene, sonics mom was still with baby sonic. But the people who made the sonic move wanted that changed. That means we will see Sonics mom in the next movie.

I still can't believe that they wanted to make Sonic realistic for the movie. Entire point of sonic design is he's a cartoon character in a world that is part fantasy part sci-fi and part realism. The games through that idea away but I do like how the movie kept that idea with Greenhill when you see it in the movie.
