Silver and Blaze are honestly two of my favorite characters in the entire Sonic franchise. They have so much potential and yet are incredibly underused because the higherups at Sega have no clue what they're doing anymore. In my opinion I think it'd be awesome to see the return of Crisis City (maybe when it wasn't destroyed and in flames) or even Blaze's world, the Sol dimension! Just think of how cool that would be to play through.

Tails: A platform game where he fights Eggman's robots with his own gadgets and the bosses grants him new gadgets to use. Knuckles: Beat-em-up like the Yakuza series would be cool. He could be trying to find the Master Emerald in a city which allows for zany hijinks. Shadow: Hack and slash. He fits for such a theme. Slaying monsters and bad guys as expected of the edgy hero hedgehog. Heck, a more polished Sonic and the Black Knight gameplay would work. The concept was good, the only problem was the execution. Rouge: A stealth game. She's supposed to be a spy and thief. A stealth game featuring her would be cool. Amy: Tower Defense. She spent the entirety of her arc in SA1 protecting the Flicky, so she could actually have something like a protection game where she has to make sure none of Eggman's robots could capture them. Team Chaotix: They're detectives. Why no detective game? Cream: Yes, even the kid rabbit has a genre for her. Remember the Chao Garden? A more complex game like that for her. She can raise Cheese and have him participate in races and such. All these are just my two cents of ideas on what Sega could do as proper spin-off games. Granted, they're pretty basic ideas but I thought they'd be cool to happen. They have a lot of characters that could actually fit in a variety of different game genres. That said, I still enjoy Sonic's boost gameplay. Just not... Sonic Forces' version.

So Rouge could get a "sly cooper" style of sneaking around gameplay, while shadow gets either a hack 'n slash or even an Character Action game (as in Devil May Cry). The fanbase is definitely to blame for a lot of things, but when they get what they want they immediately change their mind, it's not just "Sonic's dumb friends" and "monster of the week", another stupid thing Sonic fans complained about was "it's too dark and edgy", so many people hated on Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed, and Sonic and the Black Knight for NO reason other than that, they didn't care about the game, they just saw guns, the Werehog, and a sword and immediately told themselves it was bad because it was too edgy. None of them were playable, all of them filled a niche that could have been filled by an existing Sonic character, and none of them were ever shown again. Most Sonic fans don't like most of these characters and instead wanted the older side characters like Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Shadow, Rouge, and Omega to get more focus, which is why Sega pretty much stopped meaningfully trying to include other characters.

"Make him silent" Holy shit, a really introspective and quiet Sonic game. I'd love it if it were _kind of_ like Gamma's story in SA. Most of the dialogue comes from Eggman, but it's NOT constant chatter from him, and no endless stream of jokes. It'd also be interesting if it didn't lean totally into either "you're playing as a pure evil character" OR "we're going to redeem Metal Sonic". Something a little morally gray through and through, but with enough there to still be interesting.

What if she encourages Silver to stay here because he's been spending his whole life in turmoil whereas she's just kinda been hanging around peacefully and how it shouldn't be that way cause he deserves to feel his happiest too. Maybe we could get an explanation on those weird powers she showed off at the tail end of the game and how that could lead into semi maturity and responsibility for her. I basically want Marine to be better than she was in SRA which isn't asking for much I think.

Secret rings too actually. Loved the story, and the concept of Darkspine Sonic with it being very painfull to transform into already only with a 4 out of 7 rings and Sonic being angry. Similiar to Dark Sonic from Sonic X. There's need to be a Sonic game with a darker, not crappy werehog form.

@@tarkvinii5108 Not exactly, we get plenty of different enemies over the game and the music isn't exactly bad, sure it'd be better if it worked like Kingdom Hearts, where every level had it's own regular theme and battle theme, but again, the battle theme isn't bad, it's just a little... okay, it's very repetitive, and I don't know what you mean by "slow pace", I never feel like I'm going slow in Unleashed, even when I'm playing the Werehog, maybe that's just me though. As for the "there are better forms" argument, I just disagree, all the other forms definitely LOOK better, but they definitely don't control better, even Super Sonic, when he's played in regular levels, he's just a faster Sonic who has invincibility, nothing as in depth as the Werehog, but again, all that's just me.

SOME people forget about this fact from him. the limiters are on him for a reason. so he wont end up dying. this is why he uses minor or just basic abilities. he's like a godzilla. the more he evolves the more higher riskes he would die or blow up. also explains why he seems angry all the time. going super is actually good for him. because it helps keep him stable. that why he's still alive even when he toke the limiters off when he turned super the 1st time.

Man, I really would love a Sonic game that makes people say "Oh my god, these are really good characters". Just like how the comics have done in the past! I tend to like to keep my "i wish they'd make a game like ..." wishes vague, so it doesn't _exactly_ need to be a deep, sprawling story, but if I can perk up even a few times and say "Oh, man, a character moment!" without hating the rest of it (like how Lost World _almost_ was with Eggman), I'd be happy. I mean, GOD, there are so many interesting interactions. Think about the 500 character pairings in Sonic that have never even spoken two words to one another in a game.

Would love to see a mix of what they did in Sonic Advance 3 and Sonic heroes where you have multiple duos of characters that you switch between in stages. Each would take the Sonic 3/Mania approach where they mostly play similar to each other but each with 1 or 2 unique movement abilities (team actions maybe) and maybe differences in jump height and speed. Hell the tag team stages were basically this but that was forces so it was kinda eh but there is something to that idea I think. While it was fine at first to scale back in scope with only Sonic being playable, it’s time to bring back multiple playable characters again. They were a core part of the series for a long time. Buuuuut we’d also need Sonic Team to make a good game in the first place sooo... Edit: My character choices would probably consist of 4 duos. Sonic & Tails, Shadow & Rouge (Omega would also work), Blaze & Silver, and just for something new, Tangle & Whisper. I haven't read IDW but based on what I've seen and heard from so much of the general community, those two were designed with many of the same principles that so many of the early to mid-2000s characters were designed with. As a result, they're by far the most interesting characters that we've seen since 2006. It's time to bring them into the main games and to get some decent fresh faces in the series again.

I love most ideas revolving around him, whether it's slower paced exploration and gadget gameplay or being able to use his abilities to traverse Sonic levels in different ways. Sonic probably wouldn't have paid Tails much attention if Tails couldn't keep up with him, but he can, and it's not that Tails can move as fast as Sonic, but that he can skip obstacles that Sonic has to traverse through or fight through. A game I honestly really want is an Amy and Cream game. Those two are my favorite characters and their partnership completes each other, much like how Sonic and Tails does for both characters. You got Amy, this tirelessly energetic and passionate girl who seeks out adventures (both to help people and to impress the love of her life), and Cream, a very calm and down-to-earth girl who would rather peacefully learn and explore the world but incidentally handles adventures with relative ease. You can't tell me that a side game focused on those two going on adventures, tackling their own foes, can't be interesting.

As someone who was introduced to the Sonic Franchise through Rush Adventure, YES. I would love a game focused on Blaze and her struggles. She is only my favorite Sonic Characters, and honestly one of the ones to get the most development out of a lot of the Sonic Cast. And I mean specifically the alternate dimension princess version of her from the Rush Games. Maybe have it a be a kind of Spin-off game? I can see a game where you play as Blaze in her home Kingdom being over run by Eggman Nega, and having a more Sonic Adventure type of gameplay with more explorative elements where you have to traverse her kingdom to find the Sol Emeralds. Though I can also see people not liking this idea since it could possibly mean introducing her own set of side characters...hm.

One character I’d love to see get some more love in a future game is Amy. I can imagine a game where Sonic and Amy have to team up to save their friends and the world or whatever and learn to work together and become closer as friends and shit. But alas, SEGA are seemingly only willing to utilize the Modern characters with enough popularity, or receiving enough demand, possibly due to still reeling from the intense hatred the Modern cast wrongly received after Sonic 06, and Cream happens to be the only character ~~aside from one-shots like Elise and Chip~~ lacking in both So Cream is stuck in a tragic limbo wherein she needs a significant appearance, or something of that nature, to become popular with most of the fandom. But SEGA won't utilize Cream to that extent unless she is popular with a good number of fans or enough fans demand for her to make an appearance. And no matter how loud we Cream fans might get, it doesn't compare to the likes of Shadow, Blaze, Team Chaotix, or even Big. So guess which characters will get major appearances, and which one gets left to gather dust? I really hope I'm wrong about all that I just said, but I can't help but feel that to be the case. And as a passionate fan of Cream, that absolutely sucks and brings me no end of frustration. I just want to play as her in new games (not including mobile spinoffs), instead of having to replay the Advance games/Heroes, and have her be significant in a story. And I would very much like for her to be the "fifth main character" like she was supposed to be, but handled better this time. But chances are, that's never going to happen unless a high ranking Sonic official decides to make use of Cream regardless of popularity/fan support... My TL:DR: Stuck in a popularity limbo that doesn't let her appear because of fan's apathy for her and Sega's overall weird logic and/or incompetence.

Shadow suffers from having no purpose to being there whatsoever since SA2. Mostly because his arc was nullified because popularity revived him from the dead and got rid of any significance his death had. Since then he has been shoved into nearly every other Sonic game where probably isnt even nesscary for the story they want to be told and honestly they have had no real idea of what to do with Shadow since his return. Which is why you see the "edgy, anime loner who hates Sonic" portrayal that we have since Shadow the Hedgehog (the game). Its them trying to emulate a purpose of Shadow to even be here despite how poignant his character would've been if they just left him in SA2.

I don't know if anyone will see this, but when Sonic Forces came out, I was so disappointed I started writing my own story for a team dark game and spent a few years refining it. I learned 3d modeling and animation, had a screenplay for the cutscenes, and even got in contact with a Sega employee. They told me they can't accept fan ideas for "legal reasons", and it was hard to accept even though I knew already that would be the case. But who knows, maybe someday things might change. I'm hoping so.

They played properly( few glitches) and achieved what they set out to achieve. just good old mario 2d platforming. the ONLY thing people complained about is that they were getting STALE. how many years did it take before we got a proper 2d game after sonic3&k?

@@ademolaadekiya5694 That's the problem with them. They did get stale and repetitive. There wasn't enough to differentiate each from each other. They didn't feel unique or interesting. Sure they play properly but sometimes that isn't enough. Sometimes you need more than the same thing regurgitated 3 different times. And to answer your question at the bottom, the time we get a proper 2D Sonic game after 3&K is Sonic Advance for the Gameboy Advance, roughly 7 years after in 2001.

Big is unironically my favorite Sonic character, and it's saddening knowing he probably won't make any major game appearances ever again. I certainly didn't like his gameplay in Adventure, but as a character, he's fun. Heroes has shown that he's more than capable of putting up a fight too, and it would be great to see him playable again some time in the future in a slower-paced, exploration based setting. Maybe as a side role, where he's affecting events playing out in the main story without realizing it.

They need to make a 3D Chaotix game... only without the ring tether so its like the original Adventure game with all the members of chaotix having their own little stories and gameplay style. Mighty having Sonics gameplay style exactly like the original adventure game. Knuckles having his treasure hunting style, Espio having some action stealth gameplay, taking advantage of his invisibility power. Vector having a beat em up style of gameplay with button mashing and combos like the warehog but better and have charmy have the flying platforming stages like tails in the original adventure. Call the game Chaotix Adventure. Have the game being about rescuing sonic and tails and when you beat the game you unlock a story of sonic and tails and get to play as them in a co-op gameplay style

I genuinely want a game ABOUT the Chaos Emeralds. Like, yeah, they're given some importance and relevance in the Drummond Era and Unleashed, but in every other game, the Chaos Emeralds, this is even made fun of in Generations, are just there. I'd like them to get a game dedicated completely to them and the story of how they got to the Special Zones where Sonic first found them.

I think a game with Sonic, Knuckles, and Rouge as the main trio could be fun. Also that Shadow, Tails, and Knuckles idea is just fantastic
