I think the simplest way to describe Amy as she is conceived up to now is that Amy is passion incarnate. (Yes, like her first song) Everything she does has her putting her whole heart in it. It sort of does lean in on her feminine attirbutes of empathy and hot-temperedness, but it also brings her a determined nature. She believes with all her heart in Sonic and loves him to a fault. She is perhaps the only character who gets him to react in ways no other characters can because she targets emotions Sonic does not normally deal with. That is the best way I can simplify her.

And there was also that one scene in Adventure 2 where he held Amy at gunpoint, tricked Tails into revealing the fake emerald, and literally catapulting Sonic into an exploding capsule outer space and would've killed him right there had Sonic not used chaos control, something nobody really expected.

My only issue with this tier list is putting mephiles in c tier, I mean, he completely played silver and blaze, as well as damaging shadow emotionally and physically. Again, great vid!

I mean no offense, i think Espio is at least B or A tier. Mainly because of the IDW comics. But also because Team Chaotix, is the only completed Trio that doesnt have a hedgehog. And Espio is kinda like it, but he's not, and Sonic Rivals with Silver, it was amazing, so in my opinion Espio should be at least B or A Tier, and so should Vector, but yeah, Charmy is D Tier.

Amy in SA1 is the best representation of her character. The problem is that Sega ignores the development she had in this game and turns her into a leader or an angry girl. Currently she should deserve a C or overestimating a B.

I understand your philosophy when it comes to Amy, but I also think you’ve got it mixed up. Yeah she has a bunch of different traits that make her seem aimless, but those treats are also done in order. As the games go on, she becomes less fangirlish and temperamental, and more kind hearted and leader like. You might not see it this way, but the way I see it, is that she’s actually one of the very few characters in the series that has undergone gradual character growth. She is quite literally growing up as the games go on. I’m not saying she’s S or even anywhere close to A tier. But the way her character has grown over the years, I would have to put her in at least B tier. At lowest high C tier. Putting her below irrelevant characters like Tikal and Vanilla, and even putting her below GAMMA (by the way if you actually played SA1, you would know that SHE helped with Gamma’s story… SHE is also the reason Shadow remembered Maria’s promise)

My favorite characters! 1.(Knuckles the Echidna): He is the last kind of his species and the knowledge echidna but naive as long you don’t piss him off, He is lone stoat fighter and a treasure hunter and I’ve understood his backstory! 2.(Cream the Rabbit): She is a positive child-like and adorable friendly girl with her best little friend Cheese the Chao, She is fun and caring to the others as she first met Blaze! 3. (Blaze the Cat): She’s from the alternate dimension compare to Sonic she was self-conscious about her Sol Emeralds to her responsibility since Sonic Rush but I like that game! She became a step-sister of law of Cream is so cute! 4. (Chip the Light Gaia): So I learned that Chip gives the best line for Sonic to stay alive because he’s the world’s only hope, But he did fought Dark Gaia alongside with Sonic! In Sonic Omens in the ending after you beat the final boss as Super Sonic it’s heartbreaking!😢

I just do things differently, where if I love something on a tier list, I put it in the S-tier, and then sometimes I have a special tier above the S-tier for a couple specific characters. For instance, in this scenario, I’d probably have a special tier at the top specifically for Sonic, Shadow, Eggman, Tails, and Amy. But I understand your placements, even if they’re different from mine. I’d put characters like Knuckles, Gamma, Big, Cream, Vanilla, Gerald, Maria, Rouge, Omega, the Chaotix, Orbot, Cubot, Sage, Tangle, Whisper, Starline, Surge, and Kit in the S-tier, but I get why they’re not your favorites, and it all comes down to personal taste. I just happen to love most Sonic characters in general, so I’d put most of them in S, but I understand why someone else might think differently.

I personally think we should get more robot characters that resemble the normal characters but aren't. We can tell they aren't normal but not exactly get why. Although Surge is not in the S-tier, the author put her above all the IDW characters considering that Surge is the main star of the IDW comic (I think many will agree with me because she is the most written character in history with Kit and one of the best character designs from there). I will add about Metal: In my opinion, he is currently simply humiliated wherever possible and he needs to be buffed because he sometimes does strange things contradicting himself, which is why he loses or something like that, although he is "Sonic", he is smarter than the original and such moments greatly spoil him as a character. Well, I agree more with the author's opinion (If Surge and Keith continue to show great, then they will soon reach S)

I watched most of your video. I agree on a lot of it actually. And I’m a Sonic fan since day 1 when I was about 8 years old. But I will say - Eggman is S tier!! - Knuckles is S tier!! - Silver is awful. I can’t change my view here. - Amy is historically terrible. The character is all over the place. That said she is tolerable in Boom and Frontiers. And now that she will be in movie 4 maybe we will see a new take that isn’t annoying - you forgot Sticks she was enjoyable !
