I love this extended ending. Knuckles actually putting up a fight against Metal at the end, relentlessly punching him until he lets go, feels a lot more faithful to his character than the og ending where he just gets captured without much effort. The only thing I wish Noah changed was Knuckles actually getting rescued by Sonic and Tails like the final cutscene in their story rather than just showing the aftermath of his rescue. Overall, I love this game.

It's like what WayForward did with River City Girls, only while that simply felt like some damage control, this is a case where it geniunely more than makes up for the lackluster version before.

2:54 I love how the "3... 2... 1.. GO!" warning sound before Robotnik electrocutes the Eggmobile is synced with the BGM. It's as if the music is guiding you more than the sound

Noah shortened that fight since Knuckles is fighting all three main antagonists, the "Triple Trouble" if you will. I'd get exhausted if I had to do all 3 of Fang's full fights, THEN the surprise rematch against Metal Sonic and the 2 fights against Eggman.

The Eggman fight should've used his Triple Trouble theme, not reusing the Sonic 3 one.

@@MarkerMurker I only have like a few gripes, nothing game-breaking. Nitpicks, if anything. Stuff like that, Knuckles not using the Chaos Emeralds (despite that being consistent with the story) and some sprites being immersion-breaking due to being based off GBA sprites.

@@SegaMario While he doesn't use the Chaos Emeralds, the thing is, Knuckles doesn't just not use them, he protects the Chaos Emeralds from Metal Sonic (who is after them) by whisking them away into the Special Stages using the Master Emerald. While Sonic & Tails' main threats are Eggman and Fang, Knuckles' enemy is actually Metal Sonic. And as shown when Metal creates Dark Emeralds, Knuckles made the right call so Metal couldn't nab them right away.

To be honest, hearing the Sonic 3 boss theme for this fight was geniunely the moment it went hype for me. Made it REALLY feel like it was Knuckles' fight.

@@SmashyGuySRB2 Simple...Knuckles takes alternate hidden paths to get ahead of Sonic & Tails. I believe that canonically Sonic & Tails are the ones who are taking down each of the bosses (except the Knux exclusive in TPZ-Act 2 & ADZ-Act 3). I also believe that he was the one who discover the Purple Palace Zone when Sonic & Tails were dealing with Giga Thomas Pen (or the "PAENGUIN" Boss).
