You mentioned that the TV accepts VESA Mount 300 x 300. Did you mean 200x200?

Hey Fire Wolf Tech, you have reviewed the A90k 42 and the C3 42. Which one do you prefer? I'm looking to use it as a pc monitor for movies, office use and gaming. Image quaIity is more important to me than a few milliseconds of input lag. I look forward to hearing your opinion. Thx!

I love the A90K series. I bought the 48 inch to watch sports and other assorted programming. This master class tv in either the 42 inch or 48 inch is the best tv I have ever seen. Sony hit a homerun with this one. Nice review my friend.

one thing i will mention is this tv has a Composite Video Input that is through an earphone jack , i was at a tv store and they say that nearly all modern oled tv don't have that type of connection afaik the A90J and the C3 42 don't have that connection either . why would you need a composite video in ? well if you have older games consoles and vcr players you would know that they do not have a hdmi connector i have looked and their is no reviews that connect older systems to that socket , and tbh i would have loved to have seen how this tv pans out

Hey Everyone! Need some help with a purchase for a potential Sony 42 A90K. Unit will be used as a monitor in the basement. Pricing I’m getting it for is $1000 CAD brand new. Is this still a viable option in 2024 as I know this model is technically from 2022. If no, then if there were any options for another OLED around the 42 - 48 range with the ability to serve as a TV as well. Thanks!

Will these burn in? If left on same screen for too long.
@FIREWOLFTECH11 ай бұрын
It may burn in eventually, but when that happens it might be a very very long time. OLED technology have gotten so much better I wouldn't worry about it. Your phone is probably OLED

Does this monitor still exhibit that going to sleep issue if youre gaming on a PC? Found one at a local store for a grest deal but reviews show this had been abandoned and others iv asked Said it had issues if you plan on gaming on a PC for more then a few hrs.
@erikglimpse Жыл бұрын
Have you ever had any over/underscan issues with these TV when connecting it to your Nvidia graphics card? I also have a XR42A90K, but I'm connecting it to a 2080 Ti, and there's a major over/underscan issue going on. If I physically disconnect the TV from power and restart it, the problem is solved somewhat, but temporarily, but it eventually goes right back to the signal not properly filling the monitor. The picture signal is drawn outside the actual bounds of the display. The only way I can permanently fix the issue is going into Nvidia Control Panel and decreasing the resolution of the signal to a slightly lower resolution, which isn't a great solution. Btw, the option under settings to correct for this, that's currently set to "wide", is greyed out (disabled).

@@FIREWOLFTECHI love it. Not to big and not to small. Been playing mw3 and Jedi survivor and I’m blown away. I watched this review and spawn points for weeks before I decided to pull the trigger. It’s my first oled and I work 70 hours and only game for about 2-3 hours when I get home. As usual, I’m concerned about burn in and longevity of the tv for the price. I wanted the Sony x85k for the 43 in but it still has the x1 rather than the xr. I was hoping that the 90 series was smaller too. I really wanted this tv for the 42 desk size
@FIREWOLFTECH Жыл бұрын
@@nathanhighvoltage5259awesome congrats ! I’m glad my video was helpful. I wouldn’t worry too much about burn in since OLED technology has been out for a very long time and almost every high end phone uses oled (iPhones, Samsungs,etc). You could always utilize the oled care features and you should be fine

Was going to get this in 48” but the A90J at $999 was too good to pass up. Better and cheaper with a heat sink and brighter to name a few. I don’t PC game so making my A90J used as a monitor is non relevant for my needs. Best purchase ever.
@FIREWOLFTECH Жыл бұрын
Yeah the A90J is also larger so trying to use it as a monitor is way too overkill 😅 I’m glad you found a great deal 🔥
@Tube209711 ай бұрын
A90J may be cheaper but calling it better is considerably inaccurate. Subjective, but the general consensus accepts that the A90k is superior.

Is the tv a scratch resistant glass and don't need a. Protect film?
@FIREWOLFTECH Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about scratch resistance, I was referring to the screen not having a screen film that TVs or monitors usually have which helps keep fingerprints and potential scratches when taking it off the box and setting it up. It just means you have to be more careful when handling the screen
@NouraizAsad Жыл бұрын
@@FIREWOLFTECH you mean the screen is glossy and doesnt have a matter finish like usual monitors, correct?
@FIREWOLFTECH Жыл бұрын
@@NouraizAsad the screen is glossy. But I was referring to the when you first unbox and are ready to take it out the box, the A90K didnt have a plastic film or plastic bag. This means you should be extra careful when taking it out, because you could potentially scratch it or damage it if it bumps into something.
