Our old neighbors loved watering the concrete and the growing of tomatoes and cucumbers. They loved watching us kids playing backyard cricket. But god forbid we hit a 6 over the fence into their veggie patch... You'd either never see that ball again or you'd end up with the ball and 3 plastic bags of cucumbers brought around the next day. No in between.

@@Carrera6rennsport I know. The thing is - when I was in Napoli I was amazed by the culture. Nadpolitanes lived like us, and they are very open and kind - a lot of respect for visitors. When you as an Iranian go to Greece and Italy and you are kind and respectful you get in very easy as an Iranian. What separates Iranian from them is religion, and honestly Islam has been a burden for Iranians - if Iran would have been secular or Christian it would have been more like south of Europe. Now Islam is in the way and people in Iran is tired of Islam. My father is Jewish and my mother Shia - but none of them are religious.

It's all fun and games till one of your son's brings home an Aussie girl to meet the parents..And they call Aussies the racist 🙄 The racism and misogyny from the men, especially from the Greeks, Italians and Arabs towards Aussies, especially the woman, in my experience is disgusting. In the 70's the amount of hate i got just because i had an Italian boyfriend was something else. My parents loved him, his not so much and pressured us to break up. It was truly an eye opener and an education into the ugly side of these cultures..
