See the key to most of this isn't the Furry part, so much as the trend of so many of these profiles being aged 13-15. Seems like a lot of the cringe is just from awkward as hell teenagers, the furry fandom to them is just another fandom identity to cling to while being hormonal and awkward as any teen is. Most of them will look back on it and cringe as much as most of us do. Probably.

Happy John Just saying, Kejutsu is different from Kendo in that Kenjutsu is actually the art practiced by Japanese swordsmen whereas Kendo is a modernized equivalent. Many Japanese martial arts underwent extensive changes in philosophy after the Meiji era (I think, not really that well educated on Japanese history). The change is seen in the suffix, Jutsu or Do. Do means way, Jutsu means method. Method of fighting vs way of living. EDIT: Kenjutsu is actually an umbrella term for all (or most) Japanese sword arts predating the Meiji era.
