Those comments are what the delete button was invented for. I heard a similar comment about my car recently from a surgeon who drives a much more expensive vehicle. I told him that after 46 years working as a professional and 22 years of college I earned the car I drive. Finished my doctorate at 60. Still smashing it.

I'm gonna be honest- I don't always follow you for your fashion because my sensibilities are a bit different, I follow you for your thoughts and opinions. Your frustrations on the car video comments being misogynistic are SO ACCURATE. You saying that you don't have children/debt, is also a huge reason why you can afford what you can and people who disagree with that are totally stuck in old ways and need to calm down.

I sometimes think to myself why am I watching Sophie's channel as I don't ever buy luxury items or have an interest in doing so and I don't purchase expensive cars. However, what draws me in is that I find Sophie refreshing in her honesty, she is really likeable and most importantly she seems to have integrity. This seems a rarity amongst Vloggers, many of the successful ones have become conceited and mercenary and almost completely detached from reality. Sophie, please continue to be you.

I think the main difference between our lovely Sophie and other KZbinrs is that Sophie does KZbin as a hobby, it's not her main source of income. Other KZbinrs have made their channels into their full time jobs so there's that constant pressure to keep earning. This is when they become sell-outs. Sophie has nothing to lose on here so she stays honest, and she's always humble. This is what audiences want! :)

We really are horrible to each other. We're all a product of our society, and are more disrespectful to other women than we'd like to admit. It's all fun and games to talk about "uplifting our sisters", but refuse to change the mindset in _ourselves_ that gets in the way of that. A successful woman should be a role model, not someone for other women to scoff at and make accusations about.

You have to accept that there are women who will never want kids, that there is nothing wrong with that, and that even if someone ends up regretting their decision not to have kids in their fertile years that it's also their business/responsibility to deal with the consequences of that decision.

I’m a traveling healthcare consultant and currently in school And the number one question I get asked is how much money do you make 😳 I think that’s the rudest question on earth It’s so classless 😤 I bought my first Mercedes at 21 and people would say a man bought it for me (to the point where they wouldn’t speak to me) or that I’m to young for the car...that’s a retirement car (says who🤣) Meanwhile they never paid attention to the fact that I worked as a licensed manicurist/nail tech. From the age of 14 years old until I graduated college I paid my way through college no student loans until I got scholarships (at the end) I worked while they chased boys and partied (I partied too but not as much as them) And I always tried to grow every year as a person (reading listening to elders ) It’s about sacrifice and tunnel vision on your goals What I hate most is... it usually comes from other women Instead of say you’re an inspiration to me, girl thanks. It’s hate. That’s why I cut off all friendships in my early 20s and now I have driven female friends (I met on the road or church or seminars). We motivate each other and no drama I think bcuz I have a huge predominately female family ( all successful) and I grew up in the beauty industry... I cheer and try to pull up the next women. But it’s really hard for women to do that for each other And it makes me So sad So, Sophie I love your videos and I think you are a great influence I don’t even live in UK (🇺🇸) but I think your ambition can radiate around the world Please continue to do what you do and much love and positive vibes going to you and your family Thanks for sharing

The moment you said “education is SO important” officially made you my favorite youtuber. I got to know you lately with your video “you only need one designer handbag” and watched a few videos of yours since then. You do have good thinking as shown in your videos about how woc is not worth the money, how we should only get one designer handbag and now this one! I do like fashion and I appreciate pretty things (not necessarily designer’s and luxurious). At the same time, I try my best to remain rational with my purchase. You are the very few fashion youtuber who are not encouraging extravagant and irrational spending, which is very much needed in the internet / real world! I feel that some KZbinrs saying that “luxury is not necessary” “its bonus” “my money comes from investment” dun sound sincere to me. And I can’t see the hardworking side of them like I see yours. Btw, When my kid tells me one day he wants to drop out of school, I will definitely share this video with him.

You set a goal, and you work towards it. It saddens me that women think marriage is the way to obtain a lifestyle. It might help you monetarily, but noone in their right mind would think that living with a partner you don't love or even like only for the money is a good idea.

That's true Wendy. But it's been a known fact that men have always earned more money than women and a lot of them do have house wives. But yes there is hard working women that do earn twice more than men, just not a lot of them where I live that's for sure :)

I don’t understand the context for this question, but since you say it is genuine I will answer. Yes, I am massively attracted to my husband. We are married 18 years this year. He is amazing. Would be interested to hear why you questioned that. Honest question.

@@El-Wifer i know a lot of women aren't attracted to men who make less than them. It's just human nature, so i don't think of it as necessarily as bad. But for the women who make it work despite the odds, i would like to know how that goes? I know one couple where it was a stay at home dad and the wife was rich, but do not know enough about them to know how they've made their marriage work for so long
@El-Wifer
@El-Wifer 5 жыл бұрын
K. Lyn Richele I guess I just don’t buy into the idea that it is human nature. I never had it in my head that my husband was supposed to support me financially, so I was attracted to who he is as a person, rather than his wallet. That sounds harsher then it does in my brain 😀. I had conflicting messages growing up. My Mom said it is just as easy to love a man who was rich as it to love a man who is poor, so you might as well love a rich man. My father raised me to be independent and never have to rely on a man for money. My husband is massively supportive in every way that I need. He is working his own business and making it grow. He works harder than I do. If he was sitting around the house, I would be unhappy because he would not be contributing. But he contributes in every way. I don’t know, perhaps I am odd, but it works for me. I love and respect my husband for who he is. I hope that helps.

We’re so nosey 😆 But tbh you seem to work hard, have a successful social media profile and are married (feel like it’s easier with two people) so makes sense! It’s other people I often think this of. Those really young girls in their early 20s who seem to buy Chanel after Chanel after Dior and I often think to myself hooooooow 🤷🏻‍♀️I work hard, own 2 properties blah blah yet still can’t have ALL these things constantly. It’s an honest question I want to ask sometimes so I can see where I’m going wrong 😆 I’m very open so always think it’s good for people to share hints and tips and help others. It’s a good thing :)

For those girls, their parents are rich and give them money to live on. For the other KZbinrs, they can earn around £/$10k per each advertised instagram post for example, or even per video on youtube. You only need one of those ads per month to be able to afford 2 Chanel bags per month and pay the bills etc. *Im talking about those channels with 500K+ subscribers. Its very easily done and its crazy money.

I just watched your handbag video and assumed you are around 23. Then I incorrectly assumed because of your amazing handbag collection, that you just must be a rich kid who makes videos about their stuff. I am glad that you put up this video, because it is inspiring. Obviously, you worked hard in college, worked hard in your job, then worked hard to start your own business... for years; and your type of success is real, inspiring, and attainable. I loved that you said to stay in school, i'm currently 23 feeling a little discouraged at times because I am soooo close to finishing yet I feel so far. But your video inspired me to work hard, and reminded me that the type of success I want in my life is reachable as well because I dont want to have debt/kids either. Like you said, you did not have to be as honest as you are, so I want to thank you for it. What you said was refreshing, again i am inspired, and i hope nothing I said offended you. I apologize for misjudging you initially and this is a reminder that it is none of my business how others make their money.

You are such an inspiration. I got a master degree in Finance then I decided to move to Europe due to some personal issues. I started another Master from scratch, at the Uni we only study extremely theoretical economic topics I feel like I am wasting my life there and when I see all of my friends already in management positions, I feel like such a loser. Right now I want to build a career in digital marketing but even the internships are requiring experience in the field, so I decided to volunteer as a digital marketer in an organisation and and I am financing my studies working in a company that's 3 hours far from my city. I am also creating my own website to practice the digital marketing related topics thay I am learning online. I hope that life is going to be nice to me. Greetings from Germany!

You are doing great! Don't feel bad about these changes and what seems to be set backs. I know exactly how you feel. I've been there, not once... also felt like a loser in comparison. You have to remember two things: stop comparing and to each its own. Your life is yours, so you can't live it like somebody else. I know people who got where they wanted early and are miserable at their jobs overall and they talk about, but still stick with it. Not judging, just making a point, this is their choice that is good for them, in a different way. If you made a choice to move, that means you knew you just wouldn't be able to go with another choice and that decision is good for you.

You posted this video exactly when I needed it. I’m graduating this summer but I’ve worked in one of ‘those’ jobs throughout my entire degree simply because money is such a necessity. I hated feeling like I was sidelining my degree because of the stress of needing to earn for the here and now. This year I decided I had to take the hit and I’ve massively reduced my time at my job in order to prioritise my degree. If I could go back in time I’d tell me younger self that my degree will be my best tool in the long run. Thank you for posting this video, it’s such a reassurance hearing that my goals are tangible

I would be really interested to hear how you approached asking for pay rises. I have always felt very uncomfortable about the idea of asking for me (which I know plays into every company's hands, terrified staff not daring to ask for more) so would be very grateful for any tips. I work in the media industry and you are always made to feel as if you should be grateful for the scrap you have because there are a 100 people desperate to take your place. I have always felt confident in the initial job interview to pitch for the top end of the wage bracket but after that I become a bit meek.

Sophie you are a CLASS ACT! 👏🏾 the way you handle adversity with such grace and poise is admirable. I’ll admit while I’ve never been bold enough to pry into anyone’s financial business, I would also wonder how people could afford such a life of luxury, not because I was being nosy but mainly to see if it were something I’d be interested in getting in on! Lol It’s perfectly achievable to make a great living and live a lifestyle that’s comfortable and enjoyable when you play your cards right. I feel like part of people’s curiosity stems from that fact that much of our society isn’t very well educated in maintaining good financial health or acquiring abundance. We’re essentially taught go to school ~~> get a job ~~> save, save, save until the day you die. It’s not at all that simple, and that ideal life path often puts people in more trouble and confusion with finances. It’s a vicious cycle; adhere to the status quo because it’s all you’ve been exposed to, and then question, even as far as resent those who take a different route. I think if we teach ourselves financial wellness, maintenance and responsibility, more could have enough to not only get by, but also have the option to treat themselves and loved ones to little luxuries like you show on your channel every now and then, at least, it won’t feel so out of reach to so many people.
