I definitely want some of these new summer print variations. Top notch attention to detail. "The Scientific Study of Summer Sorcery 2024 Part 1"?

No part 2! I've done enough research on this lol But probably open another box for fun!

I think one more difference is the new foils looks better which is more like Alpha's. They are a little more distinguishable than the non-foil for some cards, for example Screaming Skull really stands out. But I do agree, they are still hard to tell the difference if you have never seen both prints of the same card together.
@wizardsden6667 ай бұрын
I think that is the result of more sharper saturation distribution, the contrast gets more effectively seen in the foiling. Yeah, most people will not care too much of this difference.

Sorcery really needs to have a first edition mark on cards in their sets
@wizardsden6667 ай бұрын
That would look ugly and most people wouldn't want it.
@Spoon8lld7 ай бұрын
@@wizardsden666 plenty of card games have first edition marks and no one complains. It would also help solve the issue of not being able to reprint sets without tanking card values. The idea that it would look ugly is weird, and I’m not sure where you’ve gathered the data that most people wouldn’t want it
@danw37356 ай бұрын
They do, alpha and beta marks

@@danw3735 I’m talking about 1st and 2nd edition within the same set, as in 1st edition Arthurian legends, vs reprint Arthurian legends

Louie showed the difference between an alpha, beta and "summer" beta Philo Stone. The saturation in the summer beta was night and day. Louie loved it but personally I preferred the more washed out style of alpha and beta.

I am one who actually don't like the new print too much as it does become bit too dark for some art. But ultimately, I don't care too much either lol
@griffandor20257 ай бұрын
I would love to be able to acquire a playset or at least a set of the new variant. Maybe I'll be able to trade my way to it.
@wizardsden6667 ай бұрын
Interesting! I personally don't care too much trading it off for the normal prints. Perhaps you can find people like me near you!
