Good luck bro! I suggest painting the entire garage white, and then paint the lower 2' a darker grey. Can use that as accent everywhere else. Excited to see what you come up with! Also, I picked up 8' LEDs for 13 each on eBay, and they're awesome!

Likewise, I have no shortage of projects by me either. Good luck on the fixes. Interesting you mentioned Santa Ana. Once upon a time many years ago, I worked at the Midas Muffler in Santa Ana. Met my ex-wife (she was a cashier) at the Carl's Jr next door. Now, we both reside in Middle Tennessee but not in the same city, Lol.

That sounds like a good plan, Tom. I reached a similar point, years back, when I had three formula Fords all torn down at once for restoration. As soon as they went away, I renovated the shop and made it sanitary clean. Then I put it back together the way I wanted it to be. Good luck, don't get discouraged when it seems like nothings getting done, and I'll look forward to seeing your new videos......

Thank you. I think everyone will benefit from a little break. I'll be more organized and the videos will be less distracting 😀

Enjoy a break from producing content for a while. It's super demanding and you produce a lot. Your videos are always great content. I'm currently enjoying rewatching the 912 engine rebuild series as I prepare for my own engine build on my 356. Take your time and get the garage and tools sorted the way you want them. It's so important to have a well organized space and tools that work well. Good luck and look forward to seeing the updates in a month or two!

Great update, If you feel like creating a condensed garage time work area overhaul without going into too much detail you could have as the return video I'm sure a bunch of us would watch - I know how boring painting walls might be with the occasionally tightening of your pipe work 😂 Good luck to sorting it all out, see you soon 👍

May I recommend to keep the YT algorithm from decimating your gains that you put up slightly modified repeat episodes with your “breaking for remodel” message at the beginning and end of each repeat episode. Maybe include some before and after shots of sections of your remodel. Also, even if you don’t use it, at least collect some Timelapse of key sections of your rebuild and tease us with some stills, (so as to cut editing time to an absolute minimum), or not and we’ll see you when you are ready. Cheers!
@GarageTimeAutoResto5 ай бұрын
This is a great idea and I have a list of videos that I want to consolidate into one tidy video. I've done this for the 356 trans rebuild and my roll bar series too. The problem is video editing and producing takes a huge amount of time. I'm guessing the algorithm should be ok because YT only sends my videos to the same Porsche people, It's a very small group of people that do what I do on here.
@vwfanatic23905 ай бұрын
@@GarageTimeAutoResto as the others have said, we look forward to your return. Also, please do capture some before and after pictures of not video, even if you don’t edit it into a video, for later release & reference. It will be cool to look back on in the future.

Sounds like a plan to come back stronger! I’ve been following the Mac build, beautiful car! Maybe I missed it but did you swap out the rear torsion bars to a larger size when you installed the six cylinder engine?
@GarageTimeAutoResto5 ай бұрын
Thanks, I'm still using the stock rear torsion bars that came with the car. This car is a 911S and I think the 912 came with the same torsion bar size. Don't quote me on that. Next upgrade will be rear coil overs instead of new bars

Well done Tom, I’m sure the majority of your die hard followers have workshops far more cluttered and less organised than yours it’s all just a part of the classic car hobby. The idea of rehashing some of your earlier content sounds great, it will probably be the first time viewed for many of the newer followers too.
