Etymologically speaking, a chef is someone who is the head cook in a professional setting, whether a restaurant, or private employ. Thought they were gonna be crowned the "ultimate normal" then realised that was a backhanded compliment.

What a sneaky way to bring the brownie points back. I like it.

Also saw y'all's tweet about being unsure if the like a chef series would be brought back hope this comment counts a vote to bringing it up! I've only eaten pancakes every weekend since that video's been released! Would love to see more basic recipes on the channel again

I'm actually really excited for this series, especially the part where they can earn a badge by incorporating a technique in a dish later. Let's see how this goes...

instead of Chef's jackets can the normals get "normal's sashes" to put their badges on XD

Legit one of your best series ideas yet. Been watching for at least 2 years and this is the first time I felt the need to comment. Keep it coming ya'll. Much love.

I'm so excited for this series! A couple ideas for challenges... Technique: dumplings or wontons, maybe some type of homemade pasta; Creativity: Best dessert presentation; Organization: obviously mise en place, maybe a timed cooking event where you have a lot of ingredients and you're scored on cleanliness of workspace at the end

How about the “differentiate a corgette from an aubergine” badge since they've confuse the two once, no?

I feel like barry is the best chef. but his imagination exceeds his skill. Given trial attempts barry could be quite good

I think it's more that Barry has the most knowledge in abstract but not enough practice at most of it causing him to second-guess himself and panic, Jamie has the most consistent skill set but anything he doesn't use regularly makes him prone to rash decisions, and mike is somewhere between the two knowledge-wise, but is also the least likely to get worked up, unless it's like in this vid where it falls apart on him from the start or some of the battles where he is deliberately sabatoged.

I've only recently discovered this channel and have been binge watching whenever I get a chance. I must admit after watching this episode anytime I need to chop / prepare food all I hear in my head is Jamie's voice, "Don't get bored, don't get bored, I'm bored". 😂😂😂

YES!! This is a return to the Sorted greatness that I remember! Leaderboards, badges, battles, and plenty of silliness / banter! At least 2021 will definitely have something to look forward to!

I have a feeling this is about to be one of my favorite series. You guys should make versions of the trials and badges for us to do at home!

So excited for this competition! In the last few months and year even I had the impression that they’ve lost a bit their creativity and ingenuity. The normal battles and reviews was not was made me enjoy their channel in the first place (I’ve been subscribed for a couple of years now) and tbh I wasn’t feeling the excitement of watching them any more for their food content (loved big night in, etc). But with this new series I really think they might pick up again and I can’t wait for the next video! So thanks guys - much Love

As a long time watcher and subscriber, im super in love with this concept. I just recently introduced my spouse to Sorted and she's always been a bit confused on why the 'normals' are considered normals. It's a great way to engage both the newer and long time audience members. We can't wait to see more!
