GIANT Ice Cream Sandwich Challenge!

This one is epic... beware! We had a few ice cream sandwiches in the States, but we felt like we could make it bigger... one to share!
The shell is inspired by a cowboy cookie from Hood River and the ice cream triggered from our visit to San Francisco.

Stay with me, I have an idea. What if you make the Ferrero Rocher ice cream and that marshmallow disk thing from the Brooklyn blackout cake, then bake the two cowboy cookies, build the sandwich, and then cover the whole ungodly thing in chocolate pudding and Oreo crumbs. I'm not saying it won't kill you. I'm just saying it might be worth it.

I'm so glad you guys went to the fruit loop in Oregon! Those cookies are my absolute favorite! I currently go to OSU where the marionberry originated. There's a new berry from OSU that's not that popular called the Ardenberry. It's a seedless, thornless raspberry!

Hey +SortedFood, can you guys explain why recipes say to mix certain ingredients together separately first rather than just dump everything into a bowl and mix it together? Would ice cream made using this method taste or have a texture different to ones made with a ice cream machine? Also, would the recipe still work if the amount of condensed milk is reduced?

+Esther Gee personally, this "cheat" version of cream + condensed milk makes a very smooth and creamy one, but it has a very greasy texture to my liking compared to what I make in an ice cream machine. Reducing the condensed milk will obviously make it less sweet, but will also make it less smooth and feel more greasy (with too much cream in the mixture).
