You know, here in Canada, we have 9 months of cold, snow & rain, so its never the proper weather to have a nice ice cream sandwich, but looking at Barry's dessert, a nice warm baked almond bun, with some yummy ice cream sounds quite nice! The warm baked bun/pastry really makes the dessert feel cozy, perfect for out harsh winters, maybe even lightly coat it with honey! Barry should expand on this idea!

Getting Macarons right the first try is so so so damn hard, so just for that challenge he already won that round in my opinion. They formed feet, were not runny and looked pretty crisp, so that looked pretty good. All of the recipes looked fantastic though, I'll definitely try them.
