Only thing I did different is use a store bought rotisserie chicken and removed all the meat only because i forgot to buy chicken to bake! Dressing was so good! Thanks so Rosie! ❤

I heard that, lol. Type in old school dressing n this older man is doing old school dressing with turkey necks, the whole celery cut in big pieces. He left the leaves on too n onion. He left the skin on but cut off the ends off the onion. He browned the meaty turkey necks in the oven for 45 mins then put em in the pot with the celery n onion. TURKEY STOCK! Girl it smells like Thanksgiving in my kitchen, lol. That stock smells so good. Unseasoned. He's using that stock for dressing n giblet gravy 😋. The seasonings go in when the dressing is being made. He used fresh sage, fresh thyme n fresh rosemary n sage sausage n mixed that with some celery n onion. One video is for the stock n the other video is for the dressing n giblet gravy

Awesome recipe! We love cornbread stuffing! When I can’t make it the day before, I cool to room temp, then dry the seasoned stuffing sized chunks I made spread out on a cookie sheet in a 180 degree oven while I sauté the onions & celery. It’s just long enough to make it more “day old”. Thanks so much for kicking off fall w/such an amazing recipe!

Ha!!! And I thought I was the only one who used a can of cream of chicken soup in my dressing. 😉😏😁. Instead of crackers, I use the Pepperidge Farms stuffing. It has herbs and spices in it so it adds lots of flavor. Then I just use regular salt instead of seasoned salt since the stuffing mix has spices in it. Got that idea from my grandma. 😉 I also buy giblets and boil the chicken stock with it. It adds lots of flavor to store bought chicken stock. I don't use the giblets in the dressing like many do. They're too chewy. Looks good, Rosie!!! Yum!!!!!

This morning I made this. It tastes real good. I actually didn't have cream of "anything" soup and my sister in Christ told me to substitute it with regular milk and the cubed stock I had. I also didn't have broth so I made broth from the cubed stock I had. It was still flavourful because of the 3 pieces of cubed stock I used. 1 cube in the milk and 2 for the broth. Thanks for the recipe!!!

I've had dressing every Christmas, so I'm going to keep the tradition alive. My mother died last year, and I'm trying to find a dressing recipe that is close to hers. Looking at the ingredients, I think I found a winner. Only 2 differences, she had hard boiled egg in her dressing, and didn't add cream of chicken (I may use cream of mushroom). She was always hit or miss with getting her dressing the way she wanted, but it seems like a great way to keep the dressing moist.
