13:38 One thing - the compass isn't attached to the lodestone, just to the lodestone's *position* . So even if lodestones were movable, the compass will go crazy.

I'm thinking of setting up long soul soil pathways to use as fast transportation routes. But with a piglin farm you can also generate a ton of soul speed books and boots. So I'm also going to stock a bunch of throwaway sets of boots to change into when using the soul roads instead of burning up the durability on my good netherite boots.

Quite a while ago either Gnembon or (maybe) Ilmango had a video during the 1.14.1 & 1.14.2 days in which he showed how to max out ones armor and create what was called "god armor". The basic technique was to combine the books and not attempt to apply each book individually to an item. So you might do book1+book2=booka, book3+book4=bookb, armor item+book5=1st enchantment armor item. Then do item+booka and item+bookb. With even more books, you'd take, say, booka+bookb=bookc, etc. This keeps the cost down such that you can apply all the enchanted books.

I find lodestone as a genuine way to get around in the game. Since in game wise. Having coordinates displayed makes no sense in the world. So having a compass programmed that way would help for anyone that wants the pure in game experience. Though one is not obligated to stick to it. As you mentioned , plenty of us may just stick to using coordinates rather than the lodestone. But hey. It's still a welcome addition.

To be entirely honest the lodestone mechanic is something that should be available much much earlier in the game, since by the time I get a lodestone, I'll have had to use coordinates at some point and why waste resources for something I could deal with anyway, making it craftable with something else, quartz, obsidian or anything as accessible would make a lot more sense. In my opinion it should be available as soon as you enter the nether at the latest for navigation back to the portal for example, since that's the point you can't rely on your normal compass anymore (though you might not have been able to earlier if you didn't build at spawn)

Hey Mr. Johnny sir, would you please consider make some videos or maybe a mini-series about remodeling an Woodland Mansion. I know it's a ver revisited topic, there are tons of videos about doing that but they are all outdated. I see so much potential in such task now due the immense variety of new materials. We finally have chains to hang true light from the ceiling. We have actual walls, we have new wood, new stones, we have bells (not so relevant but still), I mean, we don't need to use gold blocks to represent bells anymore, nether rack to recreate fire, we have campfire now, etc etc. The possibilities are plenty and I don't think I would need to mention them all. Yes, Woodland mansions are seen as boring and nonsense, they are freaking far away from spawn point, but Woodland mansions now could become an amazing base with everything inside. It can be practical, it can be smart, and it would be beautiful. I am sure, very sure, that lot's of people would enjoy and appreciate the heck of it, and you with your time lapses are the perfect person to do it.

I'll also notice that I'll be go exactly towards, say, positive 100 in the Nether and all of a sudden I'll be at negative 2,000 without realizing it. When it comes to getting back to my main nether portal I prefer the compass as I can tell when I'm going off course instead of having to rely on an F3 screen that obstructs my view.
