i’m not a firefighter, but make sure to prepare and prevent possible fire safety issues! like the blankets but electrical stuff like the ac, just take precautions. Like I said i’m no astronaut, but i know that stuff is more flammable than the metal, so just take some precautions, like put some fire extinguishers around and what not. I’m no politician but it’s better to be prepared and not need it than to be unprepared and need it!

I used to work at a screen printing shop years ago and we had a giant compressor that would turn on every 15 minutes or so. This thing was loud. The automatic print guy thought it would be a good idea to encase the compressor in sound panels. He ended up causing it to overheat and in the end the engine exploded in a ball of flames. We were in an open air warehouse in the summer in south florida. Not Smart.

A huge amount of work, and a relatively small amount of money in supplies, considering the size of the room and the amount of product you made. Plus, you got incredible results! It looks great, sounds great and you can all be proud that you did it yourselves. You all work hard and should be proud of it.👏🤩💗

how you made the sound panels is basically how you make a diy canvas (without the inside obviously) so if you slap on some paint as a base you could basically paint every single one individually :D

The paint would probably create a seal and reduce its ability to absorb sound. That’s why he mentioned the fabric needing to be breathable, So the sound waves can pass through the fabric rather than bounce off of it.

I LOVED every minute of the last supper painting and classic art pompom style would be NEXT LEVEL!!! also the sound panels look like blank canvases would be really cool to see ten hun art all over them though that may kill the efficiency of the sound panels 🤷🏻‍♀️ not sure but it would be more of a gallery looking studio super cool!

My Experience with PVC pipe is over time it sags. Maybe you can stuff a smaller pipe in the whole thing to stiffen it, but I recommend switching out the PVC for a metal fence rail. Im in the heat of California so I hope I wrong about the PVC... but for future reference "Called it" them giant curtains are going to warp that PVC... Mark it now so you can measure how right I am later, please.

Hey. From where I live in Europe I use something a bit different called basaltic wool which comes in different densities and looks much darker. It can help you acoustically model a room with accuracy, but above that it is fire proof. Please make sure that the wool you're using is fire proof. It is very important.

Love it! … though I have one concern. Rock wool is heavy stuff. You didn’t show if you “pegged” them in place, or just placed them inside the frames. Over a relatively short time, I’m afraid gravity will begin to pull the rock wool toward the bottom of the frames. Just something to think about. Love the channel. It’s fire 🔥. We have your art all over our house. Much love.

Gotta add labor hours to come up with the true cost. Materials cost is great at 5800 but add in yours and your staff labor hours and the cost explodes.
@kalieris
@kalieris 8 ай бұрын
They’d have also had to do the installation if they had ordered professional panels. Plus either installing 4x as many individual objects or assembling them into larger panels. So the labor cost of diy-ing the panels themselves is the main difference in the two scenarios, and I strongly doubt it exceeds the cost of the professional panels.
@brianvinciguerra1934
@brianvinciguerra1934 8 ай бұрын
@@kalieris not accounting for labor in costing out any project whether in house labor or contract labor is how businesses go bankrupt. We can girl math this scenario all day but at the end of thee day their labor has to be accounted for as a line item in the final project cost.
