This is incredible. It reminds me of my Father, Joseph, who was a highly decorated officer, navigator, in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He often told me about how rough the seas were in the North Atlantic and Cape Horn - the roughest body of water of all the oceans. You are loved forever, Daddy! This is beautiful and well done! I have severe insomnia and I'm talking about severe but even through Ambien and muscle relaxers and pain meds and every other thing I take I don't sleep. Alot of times I don't get to sleep until my body is so tired that it just shuts down wherever I am and this video has been a life-saving help to me. After I take my medicine and turn this on with my headphones I am out in what feels less than 5 minutes. I feel like I turn it on and then I'm immediately asleep. I am so grateful I found your video you've no idea.

I thank this channel deeply for creating this piece. The sounds are so authentic, if one closes their eyes and listens with meditative attention, one would forget where they are and would instead find themselves in a boat in the middle of the ocean... I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.

One summer a few years back when I was around 18, I went to Australia with my brother and some friends, now this is Australia so it was pretty hot every single day. I low key didn’t even want to go, I’ve always been more of a cold weather type person but I went along with them to seem more “normal” I guess, but one day it just started pouring rain, like heavy rain and thunder for close to an hour. I know this isn’t at all safe to do but I walked out to the beach and just sat there in the storm looking out at the ocean by myself, not a single soul was on that beach with me. I remember a few minutes passing and this girl I didn’t know, I had never even seen before, came up and sat right next to me. I remember turning to look at her, she looked like she was around my age, we didn’t speak a single word to each other, not that we could hear anything past the rain hitting the ocean...I have never felt more at peace then I was in those 20-40 minutes I spent out there with this stranger... That memory sort of haunts me...anyways I’m telling you this story whoever you may be reading this comment, to remind you that no matter how weird or different you are, no matter how lonely or how much of an outcast you may feel...you are not alone, there is always someone else out in the same storm with you, even if you can’t see or hear them.

Its funny. Sunny, hot summer days make me feel tired, slow and - with no wind at all - rather depressed. As soon as there is just a sign of a storm, I become completely active. Standing in a sudden burst of a summer storm, thunder and lightning distracting from the heavy gushes of rain all around you - it just floods me with energy and joy.

Have you tried reducing her intake of processed sugar and having her join you in vigorous evening exercises? My mom and dad'd have me and my brothers run laps around the house until we couldn't breathe and restrict our sugar intake to fruits only given in the morning. Combined with a heavy after-dark meal rich in proteins and pasta, any energy left was diverted to digestion so, we generally slept like the dead. I'm sure, given some research, your man will find a solution but, those helped us significantly.

I already was in this kind of weather. I was around 15 with my family on our sailboat and the sky turned black, the waves were sooo big and shaking. Our boat was heeling sharply, i stayed in my cabin, watching the sea coming on my porthole. It leaned heavily. My father was outside totally soaked but needed to steer the boat and check the sails. Finally, we made it ! But what a night !

Always lived next or on the sea (although not on sever thunderstorm, sailing is just a hobby of mine, not a job), and camping next to the beach during a thunderstorm is the most easy way to make me sleep, after just sleeping in the boat. I moved away, so I’m glad I can still kind of get into the atmosphere again. Honestly, except the, you know, wet part of rain, I really prefer rain and thunder atmosphere over sunny days. Wind, hail, huge waves fit more my mood

I Pray that all of Jehovah's children will feel the safety;& the comfort by our our Fathers beautiful gifts he's given us. The outstanding mountains & lands covered w/ the greeness grass, colorful flowers, the many amazing mysteries. I don't usually comment on white noise videos but this one warrants a comment. This is the best white noise video I have ever used for studying. I have gone through my fair share of lofi music, classical music, tv-static-like white noise, rain sounds, waterfall sounds, and binaural beats, but this video is the only one that I have been able to tune out while it keeps me tuned in, if that makes sense. I forgot it was playing until I saw the KZbin tab open. I have bipolar, depression, and autism, all of which make my focus non-existent and make me feel super overwhelmed when I try to work. Nothing terrifying about this. The sole fact of being indoors (in safety) while there's a rush of wind outside bending trees and a downpour of cold summer rain slapping the window makes me feel at most ease. Brewing some fresh coffee and sitting next to the window with my cat is honestly the most euphoric feeling I can possibly obtain. Fear is uprooted through feeling at threat of something near. Seeing rain give life, and thunder play its music is an orchestra that I wish played every - single - day. --- For me, a depressive state emerges when the sun arises and the rain starts to dry. Many folks enjoyment is my misery; I wish to be in the rain forever.

If your reading this, it's probably night time or maybe your studying for that upcoming test you have, or you might not be doing anything, you might just want to listen to some calming music. No matter the reason, I hope you know that everything is okay, take a deep breath, pause your studying, stop what your doing, look outside, go outside if possible, just for a minute. Take a minute to take a couple deep breaths outside, get some fresh air. Fill your lungs with the cold air outside, take a minute to look around, look at this beautiful earth we live on, it may be flawed but it's still beautiful. Just like you, I hope you dream, I hope you find yourself, do what you want to do, find your happy place, be around the people you love! Do anything that could help you. I might be a stranger talking to another stranger telling them what to do as if I know them, but I want you to know, you're loved by many. It might not feel like it but I promise things will look up for you. You'll find love, make friends with the greatest people, achieve your dreams. I hope you can live your own life, be the happiest you possible. ❤

Acorn MLP I absolutely LOVE the rain. We are what is known as pluviophiles, or lovers of rain. I grew up in Alabama and lived in Florida and Oklahoma for many years, so I was used to thunderstorms on a daily basis in the spring and summer. But my hubbys work brought us to Las Vegas about 11 years ago, and we have about 355 days of unrelenting sunshine. It's kind of depressing how It's ALWAYS sunny here w/ hardly any rain. And what rain we do get here could hardly be called that. We've probably had about 5 or 6 really good thunderstorms since we've lived here. I swear I need to move to Scotland or Ireland where the weather's usually always dreary w/ lots of rain 😁⛈😜

No London was the most beautiful place besides Scotland and Im just dying to live in the Pacific Northwest somewhere green on the ground and gray in the sky. I HATE the sun and am literally like the song goes Im only happy when it rains. I literally get pissed to see sunny days. Definitely you arent alone. When im at the beach the best days are gray a light rain and storm clouds in the distance. Thats my aesthetic.

My Dad had similar story from WW11. He would crawl under a huge tent that covered everyone’s gear and sleep there and when it rained on the tent, it lulled him to sleep.

I was in the navy. (Uss Arkansas CGN 41) I remember sleeping with my boots at the edge of my mattress (the side to get out of the rack) wedged in. It raised the mattress enough to pin me to the wall. Kinda like being wedged in a V shape. When seas got bad, it felt like I was getting rocked to sleep by a giant. It also prevents you from getting thrown out of your bed during bad weather

Tip for everyone as it helped me and wanted to share with you all. While studying, if you take a break or browse any kind of social media, then pause this. And when you are studying, keep it running. At the end of the day, you will know how many hours you have really put in a day for studying. Have a plan for the day. For example, today I plan to study for 8 hours. See, if you achieved your plan or goal. If you are not able to achieve your goal, then set a realistic plan or keep the social media or distractions away. Have a wonderful day and lets get back to studying. Like the comment so someone can benefit from it.

This is much better than most people's ocean and storm ambience videos since most people create the sound but only show a picture with the sound and it don't look very realistic. This shows an actual video of the ocean water moving and the lightening in the clouds. Great job on this video.
