AI is going crazy on the internet from what is can generate to what it can do for you but how accurate is it? I'm going to put ChatGPT to the test and see how accurate it is with it's sound related knowledge in this video.

You're talking to chat gpt 3.5. about a year old model. you have the option to select a higher level model either 4 or 4o at the upper left or upper right.

I train AI models for imagery... nothing scary there, just making a monotonous job easier for us. My experience with GPT is not positive when it comes to audio/gear. I attempted to use it earlier on for research, and me being the skeptic i am, decided to validate all the information presented and, surprise, most of it was VERY off. Even the newer v4 is not great at it. Other topics, like coding, math and very established concepts it does quite well with. Opinionated angry audio nerd stuff... not so much lol.

Not to be the “Devil’s Advocate” but if things that are scouring the internet looking for data, in all fairness, on your channel’s description, it doesn’t cite your name as being the content creator. Your channel’s description starts off in the first person “By day I'm a professional boom operator working in the motion picture industry any other time, I'm a sound geek with a passion for teaching my craft.” I couldn’t find your name associated with the channel. So I could see how the AI was confused and giving incorrect information for who runs or the creator for Sound Speeds. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This guy spends more than half his time querying chat GPT about himself or other channel's owners. How is that 'sound knowledge'? Get over yourself. You could have asked it more of the actual sound questions like 'explain audio signal chain' or 'what is a compressor', but no. 'who is sound speeds on youtube' lmao

@@SoundSpeeds Baseline for what? You didn't see the point of my comment. Baseline for sound knowledge should include baseline sound based questions, not 'who is sound speeds'. But I recommend doing this again but with Meta AI. Much smarter than this. Although as others pointed out, you were using chatgpt that is more than a year old.
