I know this is older...but every single performance site just shows stock photos and descriptions, almost NO ONE shows the ratings and capacities of these kits. Why is that? Its one of the most relevant bits of information without having to dig around or contact companies. This video clarifies the endurance handles up to about 500ft lbs... which is about where I'm at. Its so hard to shop clutches because i cant figure out WHAT they're even rated for..its mind boggling lol. At least Edge put it in the video portion of the product..but why not go and add that to the information on the site? 😅

We feel you on this, and we are always working to make our site as informational as possible. For now, here is a link to all the torque capacities for South Bend Clutches on the Focus ST. www.southbendclutch.com/clutches/10991/

Curious if you have a model that’ll handle 500+

Definitely. I think the Stage 3 Race and the Stage 4 will for sure. But 500+ hp usually has slightly less torque so even something like a Stage 3 endurance would work. You can always go twin disc too, just not with a South Bend since they don't make one.

Is this something I could install myself? Would be extremely attractive purchase if I don't have to pay someone else 1k more to install it. Are there any videos on a installation process? Are there any warranties or life expectancies for each of the models? I have a 2014 daily driver and not exactly sure what to get, but I sure would pay more for something the would last 15 years.

There is always the option to install something yourself. Unfortunately, we don't have a video and we probably never will do a video on that. But there are probably others out there you can search for. I would look for any FWD vehicle for the install video and it will be comparable. As far as how long it will last, that's completely subjective. They don't last a certain amount of time, I would think of it as a certain amount of use. You can get a clutch to last 100k miles, but that would most likely include not a bit of racing, launching, or hard slipping. The more you do that, the shorter the clutch lasts. If you don't have any modifications and you want the longest lasting, comfortable for daily driving type of clutch, I suggest getting another OEM clutch, not a performance clutch. The clutches in this video are mostly performance related. A Stage 2 or 3 Daily would be the only one I'd get outside of an OEM in that case and they'll still be a little more harsh and louder than stock.
