yeah, that's pretty much how un-spayed female cats are. Mine was 9 or 10 months when she started behaving like that. The f*&%ked up part, I've heard that if they don't get knocked up, they go out of heat for like a couple weeks, then go right back in. The day i brought her to the T.A.R.A van, she went back in, but when i got her back after, it was like they flipped a light switch off. Best decision ever, the whole screaming and writhing around on the floor makes living with them very uncomfortable and impossible to deal with. Even a pat on the head can set them off. The moral : Get your cats fixed people. And try to keep them inside

Different cats have different reactions. Most go nuts, a few have no reaction, and then you have the few who look like they are absolutely tripping balls. I have several cats and my tiniest one just stretches out on the floor and looks at the ceiling. I have absolutely done a bad Towelie voice for her saying, “Oh, Man, I have no idea what’s going on right now.” One of my other cats sings when he’s on catnip. That’s not really relevant, but it tickles me, so I’m sharing it.
