So they'd rather put him out, than fix the issue. Pathetic.

Channel 2 is afraid of being sued for naming the complex and the address. That should have been mentioned by the reporter.

It’s definitely retaliation. I hate to see anyone going through things like this. 🙏🙏

This reporter needs to spend a couple of weeks working with Amy Davis on how to expose problems with apt complexes.

2:37 since when do you need to vacate to fix a hot water heater? I wish the news reporter would age shown the hot water heater or explained if there is a boiler, or a shared hot water heater for the building.

Is he on monthly or a year lease? If he's monthly, they can choose to non-renew. Otherwise, the landlord has no legal standing to unilaterally terminate a lease due to this issue. I would go ahead and take it all the way to court, and watch the judge laugh the landlord right out of there.

In Texas, these companies can treat you however they want. Thanks Republicans.

I doubt the Republicunts have anything to do with it. Texas has no renters protections or rights.

Additional things that should have been done is contact the city of Houston and the city council person for this area. In Houston the complex must provide hot water to tenants. That is the law.

retaliation? how about my story at Eden Pointe in Wilcrest in Houston. the bath tub hot water leaks so much that it is almost unable to drain. Several months now. Its a real water flow not a drip. Every second, every minute, every hour.... Maintenance saw it and took pictures and told me it was an emergency and will fix it immediately. However, KPM management refuse to fix the leak. also, the hot steam from the boilers turning on 2 times per day creates a steam that has the sheetrock soaking wet and peeling and the kitchen cabinets are dripping water every day the the windows are all steamed up with a gross mildew on the walls and window seals. I've started coughing as well. Currently I have an eviction court on Wednesday and will be showing pictures to their lawyers and judge all the black mold and damage to my furniture and clothes and stuff. Hope it gets fixed. hope you can help with the replacement stufff. p.s. the KPM management team and corporate sends threating letters which I have as well as confront me and harass me while walking on property to throw away my trash. I'd say this KPM management firm is definitely up for slum lords of the year award only 2 weeks into 2025.

Maybe. But the tenant is an average working man. Likely finding a lawyer n funds to hire one? Against a Large Corporation? He hasn't got the time nor $$ I'd wager. Even kind hearted attorneys can't work for free.

At 1:15 in the video he used a thermometer to check the water pressure so much for intellogent reporting and the man says he had to boil the water to get it hot enough water boils at 212° and I believe most hot water T Stats are set around 120 ° and he had to cut back because of his light bill you got to pay either wsy to heat your water wether electric propane or natural gas 😮
