How long is the flight from Pertam to the nearest moon? We'll find out the hard way and discover how bad isolation really is!
This is a Space Engineers play through with a difference. We're playing with all the hard settings - Permadeath on, Auto heal off, Jetpack - completely off, Food & water on, spiders on, lightning damage on, really hard ores... on.

I had a giggle when you said you were going to the nearest moon then turned around and shown you were just outside of Pertam's orbit. Nearest moon is an entirely relative term when it comes to Pertam. I once flew between Earthlike and Mars with no jumpdrive and that was 1/5th the distance and it still took me two days so i knew you were in for an adventure.

Haha dead on right! And I’ve still got a return trip to do. Recalculating the journey time now that we know the distance….. 11.5 hours. Eek.

@50:40 For getting a ship on a straight path in the direction you're pointing it's easiest to have dampeners enabled with backwards thrusters turned off. The dampeners will stop sideways and verticle velocity but won't slow you down because the backwards thrust is turned off.

Good tip! That is the easiest way. Not the most reaction-ready setup but a great tip for the majority of situations.

9 to 10 hours real time! Damn talk about real immersion lol, maybe build a Booster system that you can dock or maglock on to.

Yeah, that’s an idea I was thinking about. Big gold requirement for jump drives though - and anything less will go at the same speed. Will aim for it though!

I really enjoy the music you add,when you go outside the ship the music really sets the scene. And when that Asteroid flew by Barely missing the ship was straight out of a movie.

Haha something like that, and that is an absolute banger of a movie! I’m actually quite partial to the new Star Trek movies. But my all time fave has to be um all the Marvel movies lol
