She was a faithful fan of Elvis. But he knew she was a faithful fan. He loved her for that. Loyalty was very important to Elvis as it is my opinion for most people. It’s one of my requirements in a friend.

What an adorable woman. Great stories. For all the responsibilities, pressures and people constantly tugging at him, whether it be Hollywood, music, etc, it’s just so amazing to me the kindness Elvis showed to real people and how respectful he treated them. There’s no entertainer or anyone approaching his level of fame that has his kind of track record. Touched so many lives, made so many days better and tried his best to be decent to everyone. That’s not normal. What a fascinating person.

Wow, I was 14 when he died. I often thought about sending him something but thought he would never have time or would receive too much for him to see it. I wanted to go to his house as well just to catch a glimpse and was waiting till I was able to go. I wish I knew how much he really loved his fans. It's crazy hearing stories like this from Sandi or like Lamar just being a fan and following him out there that they could become his friends.

Thank you Spa Guy for posting this. As I type this I'm not feeling well (recuperating in pain) and I was poking around to find some non stressful, feel good stories and this is perfect. I'm an older guy and I've been a fan of Elvis since I was a kid. Some stories just talk about the darker side of Elvis. Yes, he was a flawed and imperfect person, but we all are. He was a loving and very kind man. Also, you have a great sounding voice and you ask the right questions. Thanks!!

Two years after his first big year end party, Elvis again held another New Year’s Eve bash in Memphis. He hosted seven of them between 1964-1970. The first three were held at the Manhattan Club, the next two at the Thunderbird Lounge, and the last two at TJ’s, a Memphis club where Elvis’s buddy, Alan Fortas, was working.

I have always been a huge fan of Elvis all my life . In the very early 1970's I lived in IL. And as soon as they would announce on the radio Elvis was going to appear in concert in IL or St. Louis I would call for a ticket to the concert they were sold out every time. I would cry and cry cause I wanted to see him and never got the chance. I remember where I was when I heard on the TV that he died I just could not believe it I was in Shock. I wanted to go to Memphis but no one would go with me because they said it would be so crowded you would not be able to get anywhere close so did not get to go. Elvis was such a awesome entertainer and person he truly cared for his fans. Thanks so much for all the great videos.

xs10z You know what? I think that you just answered that question we all have had for so long about how can people thumb down an obviously good video. On PANDORA, the music streaming App you give a thumbs down to recommended songs so that after awhile the system learns your likes and dislikes. I never had put 2 & 2 together though when wondering here on KZbin. Good call.

I lived next door to the Circle G Ranch. My Horn Lake MS School bus stopped at the ranch gate every morning. Some little girl came out of the ranch house and got on our bus every morning. 1967-1969 I think t was. Thanks for the memory there guys! :)
