Hey Spa Guy. Long time Elvis fan and follower of your channel. Decided to comment on this video. Anyway, I had heard for years before seeing actual pics that Elvis stormed out of the downtown Indianapolis Hilton Netherlands just before the last concert due to the a/c in his room being on the fritz. It never said where he went or what hotel he went to. Now you provided the answer. I drove past the Hilton last year. Definitely is the hotel. No mistaking the gold Art Deco front entrance. Thanks for all your efforts in keeping his memory alive. Joe.

Thanks for another great history lesson. We have a Elvis plaque here in Madison, Wisconsin commemorating the site where Elvis, on his last visit a few months before he passed, had his limo driver pull over because he saw some guys beating up a gas station attendant. He jumped out of the limo and scared them off with some karate moves. The station is no longer there but I videotaped a recreation of the event when they put the plaque up. The coliseum he performed in that same night is still here, now called Allient Energy Center and the Edgewater hotel he rented out the top 2 floors is also still here.

I hate that they tore the arena down. There's been so much of that happening over the last twenty years or so. But, unfortunately, that's progress. Thanks for all you do to bring these videos to us. You do a great job!

I attended this conert, my only Elvis concert and my ultimate dream come true. I've written about it and given interviews about it. The most AmAZING event of my life. I actually work very near the old Stouffer's, which is now owned by Ivy Tech Community College. There's no access to the floor Elvis supposedly used, though; I've tried, believe me. The very top floor is a restaurant. However, this gets mysterious, as I met a woman who worked at the downtown Indianapolis Hilton, and she had information that Elvis himself stayed there.

When I was 17yrs. Old which was in 1989, I actually got a job at Market Square Arena, and I worked there until 1997, there was alot of history in that arena, and I remember 1 of the guys that worked there, who worked there when Elvis did his last concert, showed me the dressing room that some of Elvis entourage used. So for me, that is my memory of that job, just seeing some of the behind the scene areas when I worked there. But as I said that was 12yrs. After the last concert, but it was still an amazing piece of history.

This came onto my feed, which is weird to me. I like Elvis, but I don’t listen to him very often. My dad was absolutely obsessed with Elvis when I was younger. He still loves him, but ended up giving away his Elvis things. I have lived in Indiana my entire life. I have moved to Indianapolis recently and I have spent a lot of time downtown. I knew his last concert was played here, but I didn’t know there was a whole time capsule or that they took down the stadium. Alabama St is very familiar to me and I’m sitting here like 😳😅 thank you for this video!! I shared it with my dad (although I’m sure he already knew about all this lol)

You were only about 2 hours east of Champaign IL, where Elvis played at the Assembly Hall (Now State Farm Center) on Oct 22, 1976. The building resembles a UFO and is still in operation. It has undergone some remodeling in recent years but pretty much looks the same as when Elvis was there.

Greetings Spa guy , absolutely love your videos and the meticulous attention to detailing important sites and Elvis stories from years past with people who were close to him and others like all of us , grateful fans of THE KING. I was on a road trip couple of weeks ago and there was a line of people waiting for a coffee drink walking buy was former President Bill Clinton people greeted him graciously as he walked by a little girl with her mom behind me said hi to him and asked him if she can ask him one question,,,..he smiled and said "sure" who is your favorite singer in the whole world ? who makes you happy when you hear their music.? WOW I was thinking . The President shook his head and said " there is many but there is only one I love his music " he bent down and said Elvis Presley ....

Went to Graceland, pronounced Gracelund, for the first time in my 54 years, Monday. On Sunday after I checked into the Guest House I walked to Vernon's house, took a few pics of the grounds over the Blvd. wall and a couple of gate pics. I even saw a couple Spa Guy stickers up. Elvis is the first entertainer I became a fan of. My mom always had different music playing, but she was a big Elvis fan so it was inevitable. Though it didn't work on my older brother. Love the vids., and thanks for taking the time to put them together.

Another excellent video Spa Guy. Throughly enjoyed this one. It's a shame that many of these landmarks that were important to us Elvis fans are being taken down and replaced by hotels, companies, apartments etc. I realize that progress is enevitable. So I guess as long as they are agknowledging the fact that these were places of importance with plaques and so forth. It's the best we can do. But don't mean to sound like I'm playing favorites. But if Elvis had performed his last concert here down in the south. Y'all can bet we'd do everything possible to make sure that arena, venue or concert hall would be declared a place of historical significance. And would not suffer the fate of being imploded.

Hi Billy, great to actually see the last place elvis played and stayed at, and great research as only you and drew can do. I was having a closer look at some of the old photos that are on line after watching this video and you mentioning elvis staying on the 11th, and if you zoom into the floors on the old photos you can see that what looks at first glance to be single individual floors (8 in total)they are actually 2 floors separated by what appears to be brown wood or bricks. This would tally in with elvis staying on the 11th floor, It appears they have now removed floors in between to make the rooms larger or they have just extended the glass to cover 2 floors at a time. Hope this helps with identifying which floor elvis stayed on.

I was involved in a recent conversation where someone wondered would Elvis be remembered 100 years after his death. Of course I was well opinionated on the subject, strangely so was everyone else despite they not being Elvis fans. The conversation originated from the upcoming biopic in June 22'. I sent them a screenshot of the time capsule memorial and said "well in 2102 people will be gathered at this spot to open the time capsule so i guess it proves the point, Elvis will forever be remembered. Thanks Spaguy for helping me prove the point.
