Finallyyyyy someone that leaves garlic whole!! I love whole garlic cloves in dishes; prevents it from getting burned while also skipping the messy, sticky part of having to peel and dice it.

Smash the clove with flat if the knife to release its active ingrdnt Allicin....and set aside for 15 mins.. Before cooking Toget all the yummy benefits! ❤

I really liked how you used classic Spanish ingredients, olive oil and sweet paprika. Nice. Excellent knife skills as well Chef. I’m sure this dish will make the table for Sunday breakfast.

You have an excellent way of describing your way through the recipes. A lot of youtube recipes I'll watch on 2x speed because of all the fluff, but not you. You keep things sharp and informative but still let personality and style come through! Once I have a job you're on my list for patreon. Excellent work.

Excellent! I added red bell pepper and a few baby bella mushrooms. Sprinkled with Monterey jack cheese. Changed the black pepper to a few sprinkles of cayenne. Still good!

Thank you so much for this recipe. I bought some potatoes to make home fries tomorrow. But I couldn’t remember how my mother used to make them. But she made them every Saturday morning for us didn’t get Yukon potatoes but I got the small potatoes. I forget what they’re called but thanks so much for sharing.😊

Hey buddy, I just tried your recipe this morning. Did exactly like you said except I didnt have chives so I used cilantro. It was yummmmy. Liked your idea of just giving the garlic a cut instead of peeling them....the skin came off easily as I cooked. Btw, my wife liked it too. Thank you Sir

Looks wonderful, but, er...what about the garlic skins? I thought the garlic was sliced in order to easily remove the skins. But the skins were still on throughout.

For me I'm not a huge fan of a whole garlic so I substitute it with those garlic paste you can find in grocery stores :)

I didn’t use the garlic trick and I added one small step… I added a bunch of herbs to my oil before the onions and garlic and it made it super flavor packed. Even my picky family ate it

I do it slightly differently, cut it 1/4 inch and then fry out and put on simmer with lid on for sometime, stirring frequently.

Apparently, if you leave the root of the onion on, it doesn't release the vapour that makes your eyes water. Not sure about the garlic, he sliced into them and said that it makes it easier to take the skin off after they're cooked. Maybe he didn't want to burn the garlic

He never did remove the skins from the garlic. Only mentioned it is earlier this way. Maybe he throws out the garlic later. Who wants a whole section of garlic in their mouth?

I’ve seen the technique of slicing the garlic and cooking it with the peel on before but never understood why you don’t just peel the garlic and cook it.

Because if you peel the garlic it will burn easily and the dish will taste bitter. This is done when one only want the flavor of the garlic and so avoid little peaces of it in your dish.

@@wsconsn me too, but they will burn quickly in a dish like this. If you try to avoid this by adding garlic at the end, the flavor is not infused through the whole dish. This method gives you developed garlic flavor throughout the oil and into the potatoes, without ruining the dish with bitter, burnt garlic.

Add some red bell pepper to those bad boys. Then put your fried eggs on top. And let the yolks drain on top 😋 😋 😋

You did not remove the garlic skins? Also what do u serve it with for breakfast? Seens very tasty and I will try it but maybe for dinner.

In Spain we typically eat this as a tapas appetizer or a side dish for dinner or la comida :) I keep the skins on the garlic so they don´t burn and it gives them a buttery texture, much love
