These are still great videos but damn... your hard work behind the scenes over the past 6 years is definitely shown in your new content! I really hope you get the subscribers you need and deserve

Wow... the seat in the S2000 sure seems to be a lot more rigid than that flopping and shifting thing in the Jaguar. I guess money and years doesn't directly translate to build quality.
@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
+Eightosaurus Spelunk New seats tend to flex quite a bit but the support the provide is pretty impressive for how comfortable they are. Plus, the have a vents to cool your butt while you drive. :)

How is the production value on these as good as it is, and with only 32k subs?
@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
+doctorlobsteroctopus Thanks so much, glad you noticed. We're going au natural with the subs and letting it grow organically rather than paying for it.

@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
+Chris Avolio Not following you, the shifter is stock. We didn't change anything on it. The grinding is from a worn transmission.
@st3al0910 жыл бұрын
Awesome project! Are you going to put this car on a diet and make it look like a race car or it will be a sleeper with performance mods?
@speedacademy10 жыл бұрын
We're keeping the exterior mods light so it will be stock body for the foreseeable future. As for a removing weight, the S2k is pretty light already and we still want to street drive it so we won't be stripping it.

how you dare to call "craptastic"a car that won so many awards in its prime? there is no way you can find a S2000 for $4500, thats the price range for a toyoa ae86 (off course, with all the drift tax and takumi tax included) btw I still will take the S2000 any day over that jag.
@speedacademy10 жыл бұрын
You need to watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moiVnaiqbrGpbtU and then you just may believe that we picked this whip up for $4500. And you bet, we love the S2k better than the jag. Although, the S2k doesn't get the phone numbers from the ladies like the Jag does. Women actually run away from our Honda roadster!
@thepassionofthegoose547210 жыл бұрын
Speed Academy Yeah, it's a POS, but it's still worth 6-7K. Your friend gave you a deal which definitely isn't representative of the current S2K market. Price aside, I'm excited to see what you guys do with it. Cheers.
@speedacademydave10 жыл бұрын
thepassionofthegoose if it had a clean title then I agree on your price range. But our car has a salvage title, is originally a American market car (which hurts its value in Canada because people are suspicious of cars brought across the border because its history is harder to track), and is on its second engine (scrap yard swap after the orientally was blown up). It's also hard for video to capture how bad the non original paint is (was replayed after being rebuilt from the wreck it was in before it was imported to Canada by our friend), or how bad the interior wear and tear is. We had it appraised and paid tax on $4,000, so the appraiser thought it was worst less than we paid.
@thepassionofthegoose547210 жыл бұрын
David Pratte Fair enough. In the states even a nonrunner with significant body damage will sell for around 4K, and our S2K prices are among the lowest on the planet. I might take a trip north and get a parts car. The drivetrain alone would easily sell for 4K USD, and unless the interior was previously covered in blood would fetch another grand. The body, wheels, and any extras would just be gravy.

$4500 for a takumi car? Not anymore! Easily $10k near me (last I checked).

You want to build this car for a third of the price of the Jag? Whose got $33,000 to put into a toy/track car/weekend cruiser?
@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
+Keith Brettell Haha, go look at most moderate built track cars and they have than into them very easily. Even, stanced cars that look like all they have are wheels and suspension can have 5-figure dollar amounts into them. It adds up fast!
