This is an awesome breakdown of how building genuine connections drives sales! We love the emphasis on listening to understand client needs rather than just focusing on the pitch. The goal of a first meeting is to build trust, connect, and discover how you can help others. We also tell our clients that when meeting with a prospect, they should always come prepared with a Pre-Call Plan. This includes preparing for aspects of the call such as their mindset for the call (are they detached from the outcome or desperate? What energy do they want to give?), who's going to be there (what are their names and impact on the call? Do they know what's going on in their world?), their goal for the call, key questions to ask, questions they might get from the buyer, and how they will lead the call for a clear next step. 💯

Clear and concise. There is only one priority. Leaders look that word up. Priority means “one”. First sign a “leader” isn’t doing is in which a meeting agenda that has 10 priorities. How can one have 10 number ones? The meeting is often long winded and drones on and on. People’s attention spans are gone. With 10 “priorities” which is the most important? Many times if the meeting drags on for an hour or more the meeting is really about the so called leader who called the meeting.

For all of you NOT wanting to speak like a CEO, clearly you have never seen a positive, driven CEO in action. Most high performers admit that one thing they can feel from people who out earn them is that they are very driven. Her caption simply agrees with the general understanding that CEOs should be confident or distinguished. You clicked on the video so, it worked! But don't take it too seriously. CEOs are just people. Anybody can speak well. Also, if you were a CEO, hopeful you won't be as dab as the ones you've unfortunately experienced. At the end of the day, a CEO is just a position that anybody can fill however all genuine people make their positions.

The moment a CEO says that we [the company] is on a journey and we want to get to the next level 👎 … I am off. As much as I concede to the idea of simple language (this is easy and straightforward), it should never be simplistic. Even „leaders“ getting paid millions often do not know the difference (when they are on their journey) 😂 …. nice video, Kara 😊

What most CEOs are actually thinking when they speak: "speak so nothing of what you say makes sense, take no responsibility for anything that happens at the company, be enthusiastic but never authentic, focus on the positives and avoid answering direct questions" -just like your McKinsey consultant told you to do.

Kara I have an interesting question for you. If CXO or let's say senior manager uses argument "I'm bosses-boss" to ask for "respect", because some decisions/info were made to make him less control does it mean he lose all confidence? I'm currently working towards going into C-level and all things what I see that everyone trying manipulate to make them look "good")
@kararonin7 ай бұрын
I think that as many people get higher in their career and into c-suite, ego plays a bigger role and can often get in our way. Nobody wants to lose face. Nobody wants to feel they're losing control or respect from others. But trying to hold onto this control by using phrases like, "I'm the boss' boss" isn't effective in the long term. It might "threaten" people into respecting you in the short term, but this isn't what's going to get them to truly follow you. I recommend you aim for team work, collaboration and getting to know your team. This will form a stronger connection and you won't have to demand respect from people. People will naturally give you respect.

Moreover one of my male colleagues (same position) used to talk or make comments about my work however I could not say anything because he was dating my boss.Is it still my fault or communication problem? I sought help from the CEO as well but she blamed it on me saying nothing like that(my boss was the most critical person there and the ceo was lazy she used to give all her work to my boss) I was a junior social media manager.
