An interesting thing, The original veterans was another 2 guys (i forgot their names) was on gameology but i guess they decide to ditch gameology thinking they could make their own content and started a channel called "Savage actual" i guess gameology didn't like that and hired cameron and israel to replace them. At first the savage actual channel was booming a bit then its basically dead now. So i think gameology is cool with "Shift fire" is because they make different types of content while savage actual copies gameology's format.

@@TheHipsterGamer Patrick and Jason have always been portrayed as "Marines react to X" on Gameology and apparently haven't received the Dollars that have been agreed to beforehand. Also: Between them they have something like 30 odd years of experience in SOF. Patrick has had a long career with NSW and afterwards spent some time as an OGA Contractor / "Green Badger" ( check out Combat Story EP. 29). Jason was in 1st Force Recon for the invasion of Iraq ( he later auditioned for the role of himself in Generation Kill and didn't get the part lol ) and went on to join MARSOC at it's inception and did an undisclosed numbers of combat rotations with them - some even say that he is still doing work. So i think calling them "frat boys" is a little too much tbh. I don't even wanna know how many bodies they have stacked in their careers.

As for weapons, the L85A1 so you can see how much you agree with their poor reputation amongst British forces would be cool. Also the Lee Enfield Mk. Generally, yeah. Pistol calibers generally lack the penetration power to pierce modern military body armours, whilst at the same time compact rifles have gotten to the size of larger SMGs. However, SMG's and PDW's do still have a niche, as they mentioned, with executive protection and other roles where you want an ultracompact and concealable weapon.
@doublejacketjimmy3912 жыл бұрын
It’s a niche weapon for law enforcement operators mainly. Not so much for military use, it lacks piercing power as well as range.

Popular opinion be damned, I LOVE small arms! And yes, the vector has a place on my Christmas list! You just have to understand that SMGs are not rifles; they are meant for shorter ranges and more controlled action. (Meaning you can’t buy an SMG and say it’s for hunting or pest control. 😁) The Vector is a delayed blowback gun, so you guys really missed out not firing it at full-auto. I really hope you can show more SMGs, but you should probably setup a different firing range with obstacles to really put them to the test.

I had a 9mm vector for a while. It was the pistol version and I had installed a DoibleTap trigger (pull and release binary type trigger). It was amazingly fun to shoot and could get around the 700-800 rounds per minute fire rate with a little practice. The only problem is that you get basically the same terminal ballistics as you do from a 9mm handgun (I carried a gen 3 Glock 17 so it was magazine compatible) and the gun would only operate in binary mode so you couldn't do single shots. It was more like a 2 round burst weapon but that tends to suit the 9mm Vector VERY well. I did a little wheeling and dealing until I wound up with my current EDC mini rifle, the CZ Bren2. I put a good bit of extra work and money into that rifle so it has the military forend and a 3 position binary trigger. The Vector is a neat gun but the ergos are a little screwy and it takes a minute to get used to the recoil impulse because it almost makes the muzzle dive down as the bolt goes into battery. But in binary or full auto, that's when these things REALLY shine.
@chemistryofquestionablequa62522 жыл бұрын
Awesome! You can get singles out of a binary trigger by putting the safety on while the trigger is pulled to the back. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice though. The binary pairs really well with the Vector because you only get the full benefit of it's recoil system in auto, or in your case binary. Nice choice on the Bren btw.

LOVE the Vector, it is one of my all-rime favorite guns. It is so damn cool and it fires soooo damn fast in full auto! EXTREME rate of fire! I suppose the Vector is meant for short-term CQ Engagements, if it could get that dirty that fast. I get the feeling that it's either due to the chosen caliber, or maybe intentional by design (supposedly easier to disassemble and maintain).
@ZombieWilfred2 жыл бұрын
Blowback designs get dirty fast, even the variants like the super v and roller delayed blowback. MP5s get dirty really fast, too, but they and Vectors (I have a vector .45) will just keep working even when they're filthy...

I wish you guys got the full auto version of the Kriss Vector to see the recoil and the shot grouping of full auto, Ian from Forgotten Weapons got to fire the full auto version and it goes everywhere more due to the recoil making the barrel someone rotate I suppose, so you get a more circular grouping that a more linear grouping, however, I think with that long barrel attachment, it could minimize that if it were the full auto version, the weight and mass could reduce recoil movement to make it even more precise would be what it would be without it… I hope one day you guys will get to test out the full auto version… Edit: the Kriss Vector comes in 9mm and 10mm if I recall as well.
