There is a major reason why you don't flick a cylinder close it could get bent in high stress situations and could cause an obstruction if it it bent enough and injure you and destroy the gun.

I flinched every time and was shocked the Clay didn't inform him that he shouldn't do that. But, I imagine, of all people, Clay, has spare parts due to providing guns for films so we know the gun will be kept in working order. We've all seen that in movies a thousand times (and often the characters are the type of people who wouldn't know better,) so Clay's probably desensitized at this point and seeing that just comes with his line of work. He definitely should've said something to educate Cam, Izzy, and any in the audience who didn't know, though 😬

the irony being the S&W 29 was I wanna say one of those under the radar guns that was just about out of production and the movie team making Dirty Harry had to work overtime to get people connected to Smith and Wesson to make a couple of revolvers for shooting hence why the gun has the long barrel, then the movie came out and saved the S&W 29 and .44 magnum.

Another cool thing about this particular instance of Hollywood making something that may have fallen by the wayside popular is that it's an excellent gun. I love my model 629. Often times the things popularized by Hollywood kinda suck. Like the Franchi SPAS12, which is pretty unreliable and prone to parts breakages, but I still want one just because of Jurassic Park 🥴... Although in that instance, to be fair, they did show one jam up in the movie, so bonus points to the movie for the accurate portrayal and we can't say they didn't warn us 🤣
@billb89
@billb89 2 жыл бұрын
Not out of production just not in the run sequence. They did production runs off and on throughout the year then. For example they would stop Mod 29 production and spend the quarter building mod 27s then move on to something else and later come back and build Mod 29s again. That’s why S&W serial numbers aren’t in sequential order.

It won’t do anything really if it’s made to last and not made of toothpicks revolvers and pretty much any quality firearm is supposed to take damage if it can’t take a little flick but shoot out rounds like the little hand cannon it is something is definitely wrong with it. It’s like those people who don’t dry fire or let the slide slam back into place because they are afraid of breaking their little safe gun. As long it’s not a gun that shoots rim fire ammo or made of good quality the guns gonna be ok

Problem with the grip? Same here! ✋ One of the things you can do with most revolvers is change the grip itself. That’s why it’s a favorite for women with smaller hands, or anyone who just wants that perfect fit. It’s also a bite to share revolvers because, for some unusually scientific reason 😁, every ‘body’ is different!

Cheese Dick move all the way..... Any Range Officer, on any Post or Camp would have slapped the shit out of that kid... Total Disrespect for someone else's property, legacy and range safety. I might have been with Ranger Rick, might have gotten a tab, but that Stink-weed was never allied with the 75th.

Hang on. Did they fire six shots or only five? I'd like them to go out Rambo style next time on Lethal Antiquities and try out the M60 LMG, also known as "the pig". Also I'd like them to try out the Tokarev pistol, the Uzi and the MP40.
