I’m young and I have a collection of knives, and a rule to me is to never take them out of the house unless I’m going fishing or camping, and usually during those activities I am with adults. These people using knives in bad ways are ruining certain lawful activities which involve the use of knives (bush craft, hunting, fishing ..etc) for the people who enjoy doing them.

Araib LAd We don't believe this is the solution.The government should build more Youths centres,recreation centres and invest in the training of Youth workers,Social services. We need more clarification of who can have assess to knives,anyone who has a violence criminals records should be banned from having access to buying knives or drugs. Crackdown on drugs cartel,drugs gang's,illegal immigrants and work with community groups to have access to funds for assistance. More help for single parents and Education about the dangers of gangsters. They need help,they are confused,they have mental issues. We need celebrities,successful professionals,and MPs needs to interact more with youngsters. I highly appreciated the great jobs our law enforcement officials and police officers are doing BUT we need more police officers on our streets to improve our internal security issues. Too many people are been killed and stab on our streets.

Nobody is forcing them to be criminals, so I think it's a mentality issue. They probably think that this is cool and that they're justified to act this way because of racism, oppression or whatever. Boxing certainly is a great alternative for them to pass their time and learn discipline and other valuable skills. Even though some of them will probably want to go out and use it in the streets. It's really only a problem with one particular community although the problem is starting to spread to the others. The common link is gangs. This is why the government isn't that bothered. The vast majority of stab victims are gang members. Where there really would be a problem would be if law abiding tax payers started becoming the victims. You;d soon see the government step in by changing the punishment to fit the crime.
