What would have happened if all the characters "snapped" out of existence at the end of Avengers: Infinity War instead stayed behind while the other heroes were gone? That's what one fan wondered -- and created a short video that explores the question in animated form, inspired by the forthcoming Disney+ series from Marvel Studios, What If...?. As with the comics, What If...? will tackle alternate universe stories where things played out a little differently than they did in the "main timeline," and it will give them a chance to reuse characters, some of whom may be the ones who have left the franchise by now.
Marvel's alternative reality animated series is kicking off with a premiere episode that imagines a world where Peggy Carter becomes Captain America, while Steve Rogers works with Howard Stark to become Iron Man. Before Endgame it seemed as though What If? was just taking a flight of fancy with this storyline; now, it seems like it could be a crucial epilogue to Avengers: Endgame's controversial ending.

The reason Scott survived the Snap is because he's in the quantum realm. If he wasn't in there, he would've been snapped away too. Dr. Strange knew he was about to enter the Quantum Realm, so he ended the battle of Titan by surrendering the Time Stone to make sure Scott is inside the Quantum Realm when Thanos snapped his fingers.

The 5 year jump was after they killed the original Thanos at the beginning of Endgame. They killed him shortly after the snap. If you mean when they brought everyone back, they weren't exactly "waiting". They literally had no way to do it since Thanos destroyed the stones. Its because the suit was connected to his nervous system because he controlled the spider arm/leg according to the comics with his brain since he couldn't tell friday or whatever AI it was to move each and every spider arm/leg but Tony after he got rid of his tech heart in Iron Man 3 he didn't have a physical connection to his iron suit so thats why Peter had his suit disappear in Infinity War but in this Tony didn't, they probably just forgot but I have a reason why it could make sense so just saying
