Blues licks are the backbone of everything I do. I might add some Dorian mode notes, chromatics, or an arpeggio to add a little bit of colour and to disguise things a little bit. However, the framework remains blues rock. A lot of guys won’t admit to that approach, but a fair proportion of the vocabulary that they use is straight out of the Blues-Breakers era. The intro gave me a belly laugh!

As someone who can read music I find these licks are frustratingly slow to learn in this manner. It's nigh on impossible to get a correct sense of the timing of each phrase (especially #5). Is there any chance of having the tab for these licks?
@frannyp463 жыл бұрын
Culmacatrone.As someone who can read music, I find the best way of learning is using those sticky out things on the side of my head. I also find it intriguing that as a music reader yourself, you are requesting a set of random numbers that have nothing to do with music notation.
@coolmacatrain94343 жыл бұрын
@@frannyp46 "Tab" is recognized today as both the musical notation (on top) and the numbered system below (which is needed because of the peculiarities of the Guitar ie same note can be played in various positions on different strings) - I can read "Musical Notation" If Sped intended for his licks to be learnt by ear only then he should dispense with the drudgery of going through each fret position one -by -ooonnnneeee :) Playing riffs slowly, but out of time or/and with different beginning beats; ( or just plain different rhythms) is damned difficult (impossible?) to work out.
