Literally went for the first time two days ago. Queues were massive, but I still got rides on the main five coasters, I even got re-rides on Swarm, Stealth and Saw! My ranking would probably be (from worst to best): Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, The Swarm, Saw, Stealth. Inferno was obviously still good (not as good as the OG Nemesis, don’t @ me) but it was the worst of a great bunch in my opinion. Colossus I really enjoyed in second row, I feel like a ride in the back row would put it above Swarm, but I only rode it once. I also got a very smooth ride, though I did keep my head forward, but overall very underrated. I was very lucky with The Swarm in that I got two rides, one at the front and one at the very back. At the front it was amazing, at the back it was insane, way more intense than I expected, great theming, but the length lets it down a little bit. Overall, very good. I know it’s very controversial putting Saw above Swarm, but hear me out; the theming is amazing, definitely the best in the park, if not in the country. The indoor section blew me away, might be the best part of the ride in my opinion. And the outdoor section is great too, what with the drop and the airtime, and sure it’s a bit rough, but just keep your head forward and you’ll be absolutely fine. Overall, amazing. And finally, Stealth. This ride is phenomenal. The feeling, the acceleration, the airtime, the joy I felt having conquered one of the fastest rides in Europe, it all comes together to create a breath-taking experience like no other. And I haven’t even ridden it in the front 😏

I really like thorpe park its got a really chilled and laid back environment to it and rides are pretty good not the best but still good! Still waiting for the re theme of old town with a decently sized RMC. For me if they did that thorpe park could start maybe earning its title back as the thrill capital of the uk as long as they keep making the right investments on good rides and not just the worlds firsts that Merlin are always trying to get.

I went to the themepark last night Us brits LOVE queing NOT.... But i loved stealth most it felt like it slowed down at the top and the veiw at night was amazing.. Just the queuing and the cold ain't.... You should go during the night time during halloween events as its fright night And there are actors walking round like vampires and zombies etc... What i hate most with that park is that the exiting. If you don't have a premium annual pass you have to pay an extra £10 just to get out

I recommend Gatekeeper for your first. It isn't much for intensity, but I will say it's quite fun, especially the keyhole element.. Not nearly as good as Swarm, but nevertheless, a good first.

Editing-wise, I think this is your best vlog yet. Your improvement is real and very impressive! I think you manage very well the balance between polishing an almost 'professional' montage while keeping the good cheerfulness of a park vlog with relatable pals. In particular, I was impressed with the in media res opening with the shot of Stealth, the subtle L-cut at 2:04 with Saw, or also the cut transition to Taylor filming at 5:23 - which adds real dynamics and breaks the otherwise monotonous sequence of successive jump cuts of Nemmie Inferno. Those are subtle, but thoughtful editing choices... nice job! Some nit-picky feedback as per usual: - I would suggest looking for different background music for future Vlogs. The ones you used for this one are fine... but feel so generic as well. It's the kind of typical 'electro/feel-good-ish' tune quite wisespread on KZbin and Creative Commons music resources (and even Epidemic sound to some extent). To be fair, finding afforable, distinctive and fresh music that stands out is actually quite challenging as I found myself, but I sincerely think it's worth the extra effort :) - Keep experimenting different shots as you are already doing very well! I noticed you use jump cuts rather frequently - why not trying different techniques like timelapses (very time-consuming) or speed ramps for a change? They're gimmicks requiring sparse use, but with the right context might add a nice touch. - This is more of a personal opinion, but what about inserting clips to illustrate while you or other KZbinrs/enthusiasts are talking to the camera? It's really a matter of show, don't tell and finding the balance between being relatable with recognizable faces, but also not being too distracting from (I think) the rides and coasters, the true stars of the vlog. Anyway great job again. It's very inspiring to watch your undeniable progression and your work shows much of the creative potential left in the overused vlog format :)

Damn, fair enough, I didn't like this vlog that much ha ha. I think it'll always be the aim to balance polish with 'playfulness'. I'm not aiming to be super profession with these, but just create a well edited video with personality and coherence. The music is always a weak point of mine as I have literally no background in audio at all. I use extremely specific pieces of audio for the vlogs because due to the nature of the format they have to: - have a point at which the beat drops - a mellow tempo meaning a huge number of cuts don't need to be made to fit the music - I also *sometimes* try to tailor audio to parks but that's pretty hard Timelapses are cool but we are never stationary for enough time to record a decent one. Speed ramps are a good idea! I think the final point would take the video away from being a vlog. If you intersect too many b-roll sections I feel like it becomes more of a review than something that you are watching for the personality and reactions of various people. Maybe that's just me though. Thanks, as per usual, for the feedback and kind words :)

Stealth is a good ride but the restraints ruin it for me. Usually if i sit forward i still get stapled on the launch I would happily say this is one of the best rides at the park if it had lap bars.

Really? Stealth is the ride you have restraint problems with? The restraints on the Swarm seriously ruined the ride for me. It made it so that I didn't even feel the forces but instead only the pain on my legs and my chest. But then again I had the same problem on the wing coaster at Heide park... I just hope it won't be the same the day I ride Valkyria at Liseberg cause' If the restraints on that are uncomfortable after it replaced one of my all time favorite coasters, my god I'll slap that bloody wanker who thought those restraints were a good idea. Sorry for going so much into a tangent though

House of Wolves I’m not put off by Rough Gerstlauers, The Smiler is one of my favs, that is just what I’ve heard from people, I’m going to Thorpe in week so I will be able to experience it for myself

Saw back row is a fantastic coaster as most of the roughness is removed. I just really enjoy everything about it, from the theme, to the ejector, and even the extremely snappy dive loop!

@@coasterbot Oh yeah definitely, most American coasters go for bigger and better whereas here it's like storytelling, whether it's a British apocalypse from giant flying insects, a psychological compound that forces you to smile or being taken by a cult to be sacrificed to a wooden statue. I say most American coasters, there are a few exceptions.
