The step up from speed paint to more advanced technique is really brilliant. I think this is a wonderful style for the miniature. Well done! You might have to look for the next boxed set thing though, unless GW keeps breaking out Blackstone Fortress miniatures on account of wanting to keep your channel theme :)

Might not be as speed painting friendly but for worn looks I like to paint the streaks, shade with a mix of black and brown wash, let dry, add more streaks, rewash and repeat the process until I'm happy with the illusion of depth I get.

Sorry, maybe I should have shown it on camera. 2 drops of brown wash on the palette; get a tiny bit of yellow on the end of your brush (like, almost nothing), and swirl it into the brown wash to make a very thin yellow-brown filter :)

Love the video, but man, I can't help but feel Penny would have had some good comments on this one! Haha. A question that I'm sure you've answered before, but I can't find it at present: do you use your own washes for stuff like this (a la your dipwash recipe, which I mixed up a brown and black of, subbing medium for glue since I'm not fixing textures) or do you use someone else's product for standard miniature use and the dipwash just for terrain and your Necrons, etc.? Do you find them notably different in how you need to use them? I've been liking the mix I got but I find it often leaves a kind of "grimy" look. Sorry for the long comment. Cheers!
