I just registered for the double in 2023...the 28K on Friday and the 50K on Saturday. I need the UTMB running stones and index points. I'm going to turn 59 the day after...if I make it! LOL Thanks for the honesty, I'm already preparing for the power hiking, already use poles and I seek short steep hills to sprint up...all to hopefully run at UTMB in 2024 for my 60th. Thanks for the inspiration...maybe you need another crack at it? 💪🇨🇦🏃🏃♀️🐐

Just finished Speedgoat 28K and 50K back to back. Toughest race in North America. At 59 I’ll enjoy this monumental achievement.

Sounds brutal and an ankle buster for sure. Definitely one of those where it would get “easier” with knowledge and experience.

Haha speedgoat is the best and hardest 50K in the United States. I love the course, and you have to be a real high Alpine Runner to enjoy it. This week 2019 will be my second time running it can't wait. You are spot-on though with your assessment of the course. You have to love when you have dropped 1500 ft down towards the Finish in a full run, just to turn around and go back up 1,500 feet to the top haha. Love your Channel. Good Times friend

Qd: Last time I didn't meet a goal--now. I've let my disease get me down not just physically but emotionally as well. I've been dealing with this for a long time and believe it or not I get overwhelmed. My doctor discussed with me last week about assisted living or nursing home placement--I'm not ready for that. I wish I had had the insight you have when I was your age. I know that I am still here for a purpose. I want to learn from my struggles as you did from this race. We are always in some kind of race in this thing we call life. When we are able to learn during the more difficult times, then we develop the ability to help others who may be going through the same things. Thank you for your story- it was inspiring. Sorry so long. God bless.

Don't know why that all has a line thru it but, I didn't put it there. So it is all a part of my comment.
