Switch D should be used for flaps. Switch B or C would be easier to get to for the flight modes. You can set up the rates/expo in the transmitter and put the receiver's flight modes (gyro modes) on a separate switch. I always use switch A for retracts, B for rates/expo, C for the gyro modes, D for the flaps, and H for throttle cut. If my plane doesn't have retracts or flaps, I don't use those switches for something different. That way, I don't have to learn what the switches do every time I switch planes. Also, if you set the rates/expo in the transmitter, set the gyro priority to 150% so that the gyro gain will decrease to zero at full stick deflection in low rates.

I would not change dualrate with the flight modes switch. Is there no way to set dual rate on a separate two tap switch?

Is there any issue in let the RATES independet in the transmitter ?? I like 3 keys with independents rates for each channel . I don't want rates linked to fight modes ....

petyahawk Leave the dual rates and expo set to zero in the program and do them on the transmitter. I called Horizon and they said as long as you do one or the other (Transmitter or in app) but not both you can do it in the transmitter.

petyahawk You will want to set up the channel that is in the off mode to be controlled by the transmitter. Its inportant to set your Duel rates and Expos on that switch so off on as3x is actually controlled by the transmitter. When you use modes 2 and 3, as3x is going to control your rates and expos. I have found on my Maul, they killed my gains so I get no roll at all when AS3x is operating on switch 2 or 3. No good.I know how to set up things just by watching the control surfaces. Yes, pay attention to what you are doing when setting up these things.

This is what I need to do with my Maule, Horizon didnt have my As3x set properly. Pretty pathetic .
