Two tips: You can whip dice in dice houses, giving you a guaranteed 1 or 6. Whenever the giant frogs in sunken city die (stop spawning other frogs), you can enter their mouth.

Ways to kill Hundun: -Paste. Using paste, you can stick bombs to the heads -Spike Shoes. Spike shoes making stomping theirs heads much faster. Always drops from the yeti queen in Ice Caves -Hired Help. If you want to bring more items than you can carry between levels (like a weapon to kill hundun), Hired Help can do that. I recommend searching how to get them to cooperate -???. A secret piece of headgear can help kill hundun. If you want to know more, looks at the "special" section of the Kali altar wiki

I want to share a method that requires no items. If you whip and jump at the same time, you enter a heavy-state that makes your character to fall faster. Using this, you can continuously hop on hundun's head within one jump and kill him before he shoots you. make sure one head kills the other first

4:18 Whenever Vlad (the guy who killed you) gets hit he teleports 4-8 tiles/blocks in the direction he is facing (with a cooldown). If that tile is where you are standing you die

Little tip for Olmec skip, if you don’t have paste or pitcher’s mitt. The elevated white wall can be used to line up an easy Olmec skip, if you look towards the hole your supposed to come out of, whip and jump towards the elevated white wall (doing this makes you closest to that wall as possible while looking forward to the hole), crouch and drop a bomb, go behind the bomb and whip it and you get the 8 floor tiles blown up easily. It’s hard to explain with words but there’s a tutorial on KZbin for that specific skip somewhere.

1:06 a good tip, if you have an explosive backpack on you don't get killed by the lava since it destroys your item. Get killed by something else in the room right after you move the treasure, that way you can keep it. Also you are pretty funny, I hope you make it on youtube man.

There's a much more reliable method for Olmech skip that doesn't require lining things up by hand. Whiping to face right and moving left into the wall, placing a bomb, and then whipping it to the left, followed by two more in the exact corners works more reliably.

Watching this video is about to cause a full blown spelunky 2 relapse. I hate this game but it is also one of my favorite video game ever.

You just threw the run at the 8:50 mark because the chicken head killed the snake head for you but what you have not noticed was the other head being poisoned so all you even had to do was to just sit at the top of the level granted it will be a minute we'll many minutes because the poison ticks at 1 hp every 30 seconds and each head has 40 hp but the snake head was already gone so all he had to do was sit up there for 20 minutes

A little trick only Spelunky 2 masters know: Derek Yu himself actually live-streams all of the Spelunky 2 games, and I have top-secret information that Derek also likes players who support local businesses (buy all the items from the cave man shopkeeper because he's epic and only cares about gold for the fact that it looks nice and is a cool looking rock, all he wants to do is show his friends some cool looking rocks that's so wholesome). Derek Yu will then manipulate RNG in the player's favor as a sort of Karma system. Why is Derek Yu able to monitor all Spelunky 2 games at once? Because the fucked up thing is that Derek Yu actually has a twin brother who died long ago named Derek Twu, and Derek Twu is HAUNTING Spelunky 2! He is a vengeful spirit who hates his living brother and he is the reason why Spelunky 2 is evil. You see, Derek Yu was the one who KILLED Derek Twu, he killed Derek Twu with Spelunky HD after Derek Twu was thoroughly trounced in arena mode. The brothers always liked to play with "if you die in the game you die in real life" rule turned on for Spelunky HD, only for some reason Derek Twu died in real life, thus killing him in the game. Don't believe me? Well, what if I told you I made it all up. Still don't believe me? If you just want proof, then how come there's a mysterious ghost who lives inside of Spelunky 2? just take a picture of the ghost and you can see what Derek Twu looked like. Ah, but Spelunky HD ALSO had a spooky ghost so where did that one come from? Ghosts don't exist so that one's presumed to be non-canon.

He only forgives you after 2 levels IF you only robbed him (no murder) AND stop attacking him afterwards. It will take much longer otherwise

Yeah. Best strat is to place all the items you want towards the exit of the shop. If you want a backpack item, carry it in your hands. Now make sure the shopkeep is facing the entrance of the shop. Go on the same tile as him, and throw a rope upwards. This will stun him for a good amount of time, and immediately equip a backpack item if it is currently held in your hands. Now quickly grab the shotgun, and make sure to run over the ground items as you run from the shop. This will let you steal any and all items from the shop with the least amount of bad karma. If you go two levels without stealing, injuring, or murdering a shopkeeper, you will be completely forgiven and the shopkeepers will no longer hunt you down or kill you when entering a shop.

It took me my second attempt and It was the second time i tried to kill hundun to get the character and the achiviment and its 3 years that am playing this game

I admire your persistence, although it does come with a certain amount of obstinacy in terms of your approach lol. You can do it! I still recommend you check out the alternate worlds 2 and 4, they're more dangerous but if you learn how they work there are things there that can help you survive later on. If you go to the jungle you can almost always get paste by killing a large spider, plus black market which is full of goodies. Temple has things like anubis scepter and the star challenge reward is different. (Don't know if you've done star challenge in tide pool but the reward for that is very circumstantial and you have to think about what to use it on to help you out the most. It's often not worth getting at all, whereas in temple you get a passive item that could save you later without you even having to remember you have it.)

Considering how he's going for Hundun, going to the temple would only reward him with the Alien Compass, which he would have to follow the Van Horsing questline to obtain as well. He loses the Anubis Scepter AND his Ankh, since entering Duat requires you to lose both, while you can cheat the Ankh check in Tide Pool. The Alien Compass is only useful for Cosmic Ocean, so going to Desert is almost entirely a waste of time.

I would super recommend that you learn some ankh skips. For one because it lets you keep an extra life past 4-3, but also because it means you don't have to restart if you lose the ankh. Edit: My comment was premature as I saw you were attempting them, just gotta get some practice in!
