Sorry that is from Hamilton (the play) hahah but I do want to be real for a sec.. I just want to take some time to throw some praise not only God's way... but to you all as well! Tori and I are immeasurably blessed. We live such a great life and we owe so much of that to you all how God uses you all to lift us up, encourage us and to do life with us. We thank God for yall each and every day. Seriously. we do. Okay now for the encouragement.
We posted a devotional podcast today (9/30) that really struck a chord with me... It's titled "What more could we ask for?" I think it is so easy for ALL OF US to fall into the trap of wanting more and more and more and more because we are just using worldly things and people to fill voids in our heart that they are not meant to do...But let's be real for a sec... if we truly knew and believed how blessed by we just because Christ died for us we wouldn't be depending on so many things/desires/wants/needs to make us feel "okay" because you would be resting what what Christ has already done. So when we look at the fact that we were eternally separated from God and through Christ we are eternally connected to God, let me ask you... what more could you ask for?

I worked with Chad when he was modeling for a job in Maryland! Everyone loved how kind he was and at the end of the day, we all got crab cakes together. So glad to see him doing well! I love the reminder of having a gentle spirit when communicating and not just being a reaction to our circumstances. I always appreciate it when y'all share different Bibles and devotionals. What I love about these couples is their ability to be vulnerable and speak about "uncomfortable" topics with grace and clarity. Another Christian couple on KZbin just laughs at sexual stuff and makes everything into a meme... Kinda annoying. We love adults who speak about things they're comfortable sharing with CLARITY.

I was going to say, if one partner is having trouble with intimacy even after marriage, chances are there is something deeper going on. That could be a sign of past sexual abuse, or sexual baggage such as a negative association (ex. past intimacy before marriage, sex = guilt, "sex is bad" purity culture). Especially if it's a case of past sexual abuse, both partners need to act upon this and get help immediately. I cannot stress this enough: if both partners don't resolve this issue, your marriage will not last long. One of my aunts and uncles marriage unfortunately ended because they both did not seek help to improve their marriage when it came to intimacy issues because of a sexual abuse past that was not dealt with.

Language has been evolving for so long, even just in my 30 years alive the English language has changed a lot...with new words added, new slangs, changes in what some words mean, and it's important to have a translation we can understand from when it was originally written up until today.❤
