@@lunas1086 Too much shit going on all at once, which leads to no depth(Gwen Stacy, Venom/Eddie Brock), pretty good at the start, no importance at all in the middle while picking up at the end(Harry Goblin, although their faceoff at Harry's mansion is sooo badass, plus the opening fight sequence was dope as hell), and the only actually well done conflict in the story was Sandman. The whole shtick with MJ and Peter is so bad. Why the hell would Pete kiss Gwen in front of literally everyone when he wants to marry and settle down with MJ? Keep in mind Pete is not yet getting brainfucked by the symbiote here. Spider-Man's charming but he's not a jackass playboy(typically, idk abt other comic iterations) especially not Tobey's Peter. Why did they even need to fight? The film is charming, and corrupted Peter was actually done pretty well and imo wasn't as cringy as people thought it was. But the plot had many stuff clogging it up that really didn't need to be squeezed all in one movie.

I study in 3D animation, they showed us that intro to sandman scene in class. Apparently that scene took an eternity to make, I don't remember how long exactly but I feel like it was at least 9 months to over a year. Despite the movie being... interesting, that scene alone was technologically impressive enough to make it to a cg-studies classroom (especially considering cg simulation technology when the movie came out), which I find cool. A handshake wouldn’t of gotten the crowd as excited as the kiss. Peter just wanted to put a show on for the crowd for the enjoyment of the fans. He wasn’t really acting as Peter he was acting as Spider-Man because Peter loves Mary Jane but peters ego is starting to affect Spider-Man.
