Maybe they could pull off The Sims movie as a more family friendly Matrix? Like with parts of the real game incorporated through sets and costumes maybe? There could be a glitch in the system that changes the language to the gibberish and only a few aren’t affected, then it’s like a mystery adventure to fix things? I liked the idea of having Andrew Garfield coming back as Sony’s Spider-Man. Let him do a few films, give him his “ending” and introduce Miles Morales that way. It’s an organic way to keep true to his original comic origin. He can have solo movies with a crossover down the line with a more seasoned Tom Hollander Spider-Man.

Drew Goddard also has a history with Buffy the Vampire Slayer which was iconic, campy, impeccable storytelling & has stood the test of time with its fandom despite the stink of Joss Whedon on it. Goddard could be a godsend to Marvel, which ironically Joss was associated with as well.

There is no problem with the new Splash Mountain theme; however, I think the execution could be better. Aesthetically, Splash Mountain’s exterior was superior. I’ve also heard that the interior will mostly be screens with few animatronics. We’ll have to wait and see but it’s not sounding like an improvement.

Couldn't disagree more. Goddard would be a home run for Sony in this franchise. The X-Force movie we didn't get was the biggest casualty of the Disney-Fox deal. Four out of five of those movies on his resume are excellent and one is very good.

A deep IMDb dive on Drew Goddard’s work in the Whedonverse is quite rewarding...recommended! I watch Cabin in the Woods often and love it. The first season of DD was excellent. I’ll be stoked if Goddard gets the Spider-Man gig. He is a fantastic writer that knows the Marvel characters. Anyone who wants to see Spidey team up with DD in a film should be rooting for Drew to get hired.

The Sims has had a movie in development hell for years, I think since end of Sims 2 / start of Sims 3 era. We’ve had Sims 4 now for 10 years and it has damaged the legacy. Sims 2 is the best of the franchise and I still play it today. It’s a game where we as the player can “play God”. We control their lives, careers, friendships, romances, marriages, homes, education, happiness, drama or vanilla, etc. and we can only be limited by our imagination.

We've finally got Peter Parker (Tom Holland) out of the shadow of the MCU with the ending of No Way Home. Personally, would like Kingpin (Vincent D'Onforio) as the villain for the next movie. Very comics accurate as Kingpin is one of Spider-Man's classic rouges gallery, and he's already in the MCU (in the Hawkeye show).

I think margo is exploring this because there wont be a sequel to barbie. These things take forever to get off the ground, and may never be secured. Personally i do not think this is a good idea, but i guess thats where the big money is, altho sims will not be a multigenerational catch all.

You haven't really played the Sims if you don't know the Goths ;) Admittedly it is niche to know the character based NPC's. Sims players create characters, often playing as avatars of themselves and play out generations - building wealth, family and community connections. Builders in the Sims space build whole worlds using architecture and interior design techniques; copying real life buildings or creating fantasy realms from their imaginations.

Plus I doubt most Sims players really care about the lore 😅 Anyways, I just rather hollywood instead focused on making a movie from a game that actually has a good story (but done right). As opposed to taking an IP to tell their own 100% new story (as in, unrelated to the IP's already established lore/story) just cuz people will recognize it.
