@rrickards50894 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say Spider-man in this scene was just getting angry but that his resolve and will to protect was also reignited as well. Villains like the Goblin are often are often undone by their own sadistic and self centered nature because they fail to understand the strength that can come of a genuine resolve to protect those you love. At the end of the day most villains in movies and stories lose because they have no real conviction or resolve other than attaining power and dominance. If only this were true of selfish evil people in the real world.

Why is no one talking about how amazing Defoe’s acting is, especially at the end when he was begging for Peter to stop, that was really Norman for a second but the Goblin started to slowly take over and if you pay attention you can tell by the change of tone in his voice until the Goblin was back in full control, even the fact that when it was Norman he referred to him as Peter but the Goblin referred to him as Peter Parker almost as if he was a stranger or as Spider-Man. This final fight in the dilapidated brick house always felt like a horror scene to me when I was younger. Very little music, tight camera work and overall haunting asthetic with the goblins face against the shadows, blood spraying from their punches, the debris piling higher and higher as they each wane in strength and resolve. It felt like a war summed up in a few decisive strikes. Truly a masterfully constructed fight scene, with story and character development to boot.
