4:25 ngl it does kinda make me mad when people get fussy about Ned being able to open portals with the sling ring. It took Doctor Strange a little while to do because he didn't believe in it. Ned is such a pure joyful optimistic character/person that it didn't surprise me that he could with almost ease open up portals using the sling ring. On top of that, Ned's connection with Peter could have also benefited his "magic powers" in finding "Peter Parker". Also, I love the little setup they had with Ned, where he tells DS about magic being in his family and whatnot. DS of course takes it as a joke, but DS should know better than anyone that basically anything is possible after he went through his journey to become the sorcerer supreme (which of course the title is now given to Wong, lol). At the end of the day, how could you possibly be mad at Ned for bringing in the other spider-men? 😂

It's in top 3 MCU movies for me...maybe my personal favorite followed my Thor Ragnarok and Dr. Strange. It's just hard for me to say it's my favorite Spider-Man movie though. That's a tough call with Spider-Man 2 out there. Side note, I actually really like the Amazing Spider-Man movies and sad it was cut short, so Andrew's "redemption" in the No Way Home hit hard for me.
@tgguitarguy2 жыл бұрын
There were definitely some plot holes for me about why which villains were included. Like why wasn't Venom from Sam Rami included? He knew Peter was Spiderman, and he died while fighting Spiderman, yet no Venom. Also, Harry Osbourne from Rami knew too. But i guess Strange's spell only let 5 in? So I guess that's how it's covered up. But as Ryan said, Electro didn't know, but they probably needed him to even out the Tobey vs. Andrew villains. Also, there were a few things I think could've been done better? Like Tobey's entrance for example. I was kind of expecting him to come swinging in while Tom and Andrew were mid-fight to save the day with the iconic Rami Spiderman theme playing. That would've given me literal chills. But it was still great how they did it. Last, I agree with Ryan, for the final fight, it was hard to keep track of what was going on. I wish the fight took place in the day so we could see the Spidermen better and see which was which. Also, the camera work made it hard to see any action that was going on. The Rami movies did the fight scenes sooo wellll, so I was hoping to see kind of that style of directing. Overall still an amazing film! Doc ock and Green Goblin were amazing! Willem Dafoe....holy crap. The fight in the apartment building was bringing me back to Dark Knight where he was laughing and smiling as Tom beat the crap out of him. That was insane! The chemistry between Tobey and Andrew was phenomenal, so much fun to watch. Really Really great movie! I'm excited to watch it again.
@namecomingsoon95172 жыл бұрын
I never got why people didn’t like Ned using the sling ring. Cause Ned full in believes in magic so of course it would be easy for him where as when Strange stated out he didn’t believe and was hard for him to believe in it to use it at first until he had to or else he would die. And even then Ned would still struggle with the ring not even being able to close it or just opening it without thinking And it’s also a magical artifact. So anyone can use artifacts. Spiderman can use the cloak of levitation. It’s not like Ned did the hand spells like Strange does. He used a magical item. Like how someone uses a gun. They aren’t themselves using their powers to shoot it. They and using it for it’s purpose Edit: sling ring is also the first thing strange learned. So it’s probably like the easiest thing to use that anyone can use it
@MelianLimGachaVideos2 жыл бұрын
People that knew Peter Parker didn’t remember him. It doesn’t mean he was completely erased from the records. Also, I think that the villains were transported at the same time as their Spider-Men were transported, otherwise, it would be pointless of curing them and their redemption.
@F1rstWorldNomaD2 жыл бұрын
well yes... that IS the plot hole. If records are not erased there will still be HEAPS of evidence that he is spiderman even if no one remembers who he is. And if he has literally NO friends or ffamily what so ever (which w.ould be the situation if literally no one knew who he was) He would end up fighting the same issues as before, only hed have 0 support. Seeing that this is a spell meddling with MEMORIES there is no reason to believe records would be altered. Flashs book would still be out. All the Videos would remain. All the News articles would still exist, In a matter of days, everyone would know again.

I disagree, it doesn't diminish Dr. Strange's abilities. For one - the sling ring is the very first thing the wizards learn, so not that big a deal, and Ned wasn't perfect in his execution (couldn't even close the portal remember) Secondly - Dr. Strange only struggled at the beginning of his training because his thinking was limited; he thought his damaged hands were preventing his ability to perform magic, until he saw the guy do magic despite having a missing hand. Plus Dr. Strange wasn't really known for surrendering in his medical practice and wouldn't give control over to magic so easily - "surrender Steven"

Literally we are pretty much at that point with the mcu where you have to watch like 5 movies because the movie assumes you know what's up and if you don't have at least a basic 2/5 movies watched the experience will probably be slightly above someone who watched infinity war and endgame without prior knowledge, so retroactively adding the 5 spiderman movies to people's watchlists isn't anything irregular or too much to ask to people who have watched everything else (Have to say, in the future getting into the mcu without having a base interest on the animated stuff they put ou, the comics or the games is going to be a bit intimidating)

I mean...I like the fact that they also made the characters super suprised by Ned's ability, like Peter was 'Wait really? What that's awesome' it would've been worse if they had just played it off like 'cool, just do it' and...Ned being able to open portals with a sling ring makes sense that...well...Doctor Strange's hands were pretty much destroyed and he didn't really have the will to open a portal when practicing until the Ancient One literally had to force him to make one, meanwhile Ned really wanted to find his best friend after May's death...but also...Ned doesn't know how to fucking close a portal which was hilarious. Anyways I rank this movie in first place of both Spider-Man and MCU movies, it's the best thing they've put out in...well ever and Tom and Willem were the highlights to me

Personally the way I took that is Strange was going easy on Peter and underestimating him since he's just a kid, so it was less Dr Strange being weak and more him just not wanting to unleash his full power on a 17 year old.

In the MCU: Maybe 6th. Infinity War Civil War Ironman are definitely better. I personally think Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor Ragnarök are better as well but I could perhaps accept arguments that place Far From Home above them, maybe. I have the same standpoint but in reverse for Endgame, I place Far from home above it but I could accept arguments that places Endgame on top. Out of the Spiderman movies Im not sure... been so long since I saw them and I THINK this might the best one but at the same time I know I had a much bigger wow-feeling watching some of the older ones, it felt like there was something I was missing even tho I cant put my finger on what exactly. I feel Far from home is severely over rated. Not saying its not a good movie, it is, but I think its the highest grossing film of all time (at least ONE of them) and its not THAT good. There were also many other stupid things in this movie that Ryan didnt bring up. Like why would Strange even bother with the mirror dimension to stop Peter? Just portaling him back to where he started was working just fine, do that until you wore him out. Its not like he doesnt have the stamina, its *literally* what he did to defeat the world eating rainbow monster in his origin movie. And why could Peter swim back into his body? They never explain that and Strange even comments on it, saying that hes not supposed ´to be able to do that, Is spider man more skilled and powerful in these arts than the friggin "Sorcerer Supreem"? Sandman turning on Peter makes no sense. When Spiderman fights Electro, Sandman approach him like an ally, even helps him take down electro, he has no real reason for being against Peter but then when it all goes to shit in Happys apartment he sides with the bad guys... WHY? All he waants is to be cured so he can go home to his kid. There were a bunch of other stuff. Also I dont like the pandering to people whove seen the older movies. Dont get me wrong, they DID do it very tastefully and it wasnt really a problem. The concept as a whole just eels cheap and dirty to me. Its like when EA games release a "new" Fifa or Pokemon and all they did was essentially taking last years game, change some names and colors and put it in a new package and charged you 80 bucks for it.

How does Ned having the power to open the portal diminish Doctor Strange powers and why is it hard for you to believe that Ned have magic power. He have a natural ability at magic but that doesn't mean that he knows how to control it. He couldn't even close the portal at the end of the movie so it shouldn't diminish Doctor Strange in anyway. Also he never been around Doctor Strange or magic so it's not like this coming out of nowhere. If he was around Doctor Strange or had the sling ring in a previous film and couldn't open a portal and then in this movie he could without any training or explanation, then I will understand your complaint but that's not the case. This character is in a setting he's never been before which means he was able to gain a ability he never knew he had. That's life.

This literally makes no sense, lol. It's almost just like Awkwafina's character becoming exceptional with using a bow and arrow after a few days. Showing another characters build up to using a certain set of skills and then allowing another much lesser leveled character quickly have the same skill, yes to a lesser degree, after saying one little line about magic just doesn't work. What would even be the reason to show progression in these movies if almost anyone can just do anything. It takes away what makes these characters special. If Ned was doing magic in an alternate universe as part of the What If series, that would make more sense.
@EMLPTTC2 жыл бұрын
@@OnMyMindEntertainment I get the Awkwafina's argument more than Ned. We know how bow and arrow work and we know that it takes major skill in real life to get good at that so that argument is sound. Because it's harder to suspend our disbelief when it comes to that. We don't know how opening magic portals work. So it's easier for me to suspend my disbelief when Ned use it because it's magic. I don't know how that work and they never explicitly showed us how making a portal work. Yes we know that magic is skill based and that you have to learn and train to get better but we don't know how to do the basics. Or how people can even do it in the first place. So it's way easier for me to believe that Ned can do the bare minimum naturally because I don't know the rules and because it's not based on reality unlike Awkwafina.

This is the best super hero movie, lets stop kidding ourselves about ned not being a genius, did you see what he did with peters web slinger? :D I was joking about how they were comparing web slingers, and webbing eachothers webslingers, but when peter hit the other peter in the face with his web, and the webbed faced peter said gross, no movie has ever had such a big pay off for me :D

I like the cameos but honestly this movie Is so dumb, cheesy and annoying lol Anything makes sense and they turnd Dr. Strange in a complete idiot just so Peter could had his ways and people could had their cameos, which Is the only thing the movie has going on for itself.
@TheBoondocksaint1172 жыл бұрын
I didn't have a problem with Ned using the Sling Ring. Dr. Strange learned how to do it in a day as a skeptic whose perception was still rooted in science. Ned doesn't have that same skepticism. Anyone can learn to use magic with enough time and practice. It's not like the Force, which requires a high enough concentration of midichlorians. Ned believed he could do it and he had the sling ring, so could open A portal, but not THE portal he wanted to. He had the latent ability, just not enough skill to control it the way Strange can, so it's not ridiculous to me. I also liked MJ for the first time in this trilogy. She finally felt like a real person with dimensions to her personality beyond being edgy for edgy's sake.

The best MCU movie lol that really might be true but isn't actually saying much since all their movies for me anyway, are subpar. I mean spectacle but no substance. I loved the 1st 2 spidermen movies but everything after 3 has been off. This spiderman is the worst for me, he just a kid who gets outfitted by Tony, too lazy

Rank in MCU is still behind Infinity War for me but NWH is in my top 5 MCU Rank for Spidey Movies NWH is neck and neck with Spider-Man 2 but I would give NWH the edge. Great reaction as always. It’s great to laugh with you. I 100 percent agree with you on the Ned part of the movie. Him knowing how to use the power so easily annoyed me a bit. Seems to be for plot convenience. My friend has a theory on why Ned was able to do it with such ease that is actually okay but I will not bore you with the details 😂 . Dr Strange was nerfed in this movie which bothered me a bit as well. Still a great movie.
