I haven't watched the video yet, but I hope they cover the fact that once Jamie gets his new Electro suit, his head isn't attached to his CGI body. There's a shot where Andrew goes "Max, I MISSED ya man!" And when Electro turns to face him, his head is just sort of floating loosely around on the 3D model of his body but it isn't tracking properly, so it looks worse than the effect from that Wayans brothers movie Little Man.

I think they they shouldn't even have gotten nominated cause against the other nominees No Way Home's CGI was pretty lackluster(And I'm never gonna forget that they ruined the best Spider-Man suit with their crappy CGI.The fact that they couldn't make a better looking Lizard than the 10 years old one and that makes me respect The TASM duology CGI team even more that there CG Andrew in the suit looked better than the real Tom Holland wearing the suit). I think The Suicide Squad should've been there instead of No way Home (If they were really going for Superhero movie to nominate) I haven't watched The Suicide Squad but from the few pictures I saw CGI looked better than No Way Home.

I gotta admit Sandman being always in sand form didn't really bug me (no pun intended) that much but when Flint and Connors got "cured" I did recognise the shots from the previous movies which definitely bugged me abit.

Tom Holland said for Deadline that 90% of the Spiderman sequence is all CGI made it easy for him. Definitely lot of the close-ups of capturing the actor doing the stunt with the performance capture Holland provided helped alot with expanding everything else.

5:45 Bit of a correction, they used cranes with like a zipline system, called the Spydercam (yes it's spelled with a y for some reason), not drones, and they've also been doing the fully CG city since Spider-Man 1 with the exception of the final swing where they first used the Spydercam. They liked it so much that they decided to use the Spydercam more often in Spider-Man 2.

I gotta agree Greg I would much prefer if companies used new actors for a younger version of a character instead of de-aging or using deepfake. I think having Sebastian Stan as a younger Luke Skywalker would have worked better than what we have gotten from The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

I so disagree. I think we are pretty much at the level now where we can damn near perfectly create a younger version of a character by casting an actor with a similar face and deepfaking it. The tech is getting very 1 to 1. The lastest Luke Skywalker deepfake was almost 100% most of the time on Book of Boba Fett. Also, Shamook (the guy who helped bring that Luke to life) did a version of Han Solo from the film Solo where he recreated Han with a young Harrison Ford face. The only thing that gave it away was the shape of the actor's face not matching Harrison's . That video is now years old. The tech has come a long way. I think what happened is we got so used to seeing young actors play the younger versions of older characters we just accepted it over the years. It might take some time, but when the tech is truly 1to1 it will become the standard
